How does it compare to chemical guys products?

Chemical Guys are crooks; they sell flimsy, poorly-made products, and use excuses to avoid giving refunds. I'd advise you to buy your car care products elsewhere. Zymol is a Jim Dandy Cleaner Wax that's useful as a Sealer, as well.

Is it supposed to be so thin and watery? I remember Zymol cleaner wax being more like a cream. Counterfeit?

I had an older bottle of zymol, formula Z503 and it was always smooth. The bottle I received smelled like the old formula but was watery and lumpy. I shook it vigorously for a while and still poured out quick and lumpy on my wax applicator. Sent it back.

Where is this product made?

Originally is was from a German company in the 1800s. I believe it comes out of Florida. It was also used by high end car manufacturers.

Does it remove water spots?

It will depending on how long the water spots have been on the car. Do not use a damp applicator to apply. Use a microfiber or cotton applicator pad. Apply Zymol Cleaner Wax on the applicator making the applicator moist. Apply in a back and forth motion (No circular motion) with moderate pressure rubbing opposite directions. While the Zymol Cleaner Wax is still moist wipe with a cotton or microfiber towel to remove. After the work is complete you can help set the wax by spraying distilled water on the surface and wipe with a microfiber towel.
