Alpha01's Reishi Mushroom Powder is certified organic the powder is derived from finely ground Ganoderma lingzhi, the most well-studied species of Reishi mushroom.Reishi mushrooms contain many active constituents including both beta-glucan polysaccharides and triterpenes. Extracts of reishi have been shown in clinical studies to have immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and reno/hepatoprotective properties both in vitro and in vivo.There are also studies that indicate reishi may improve lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in men and reduce dyslipidemia.The powder has a slightly bitter, earthy taste so I add it to savory food.My main concern with the product I received is the best before date. To me it looks like 20 Sept 2023. I accept it is not clear but I have added a photo so you can decide for yourself. Clearly I cannot recommend a product that is sent out of date. The lot number is present so alfa01 can contact me -and I will update this review if they provide proof for the expiry date of the lot number but current I cannot recommend.
