Totally worth the money.
This little radio is totally worth what little you're paying for it. The sound is quite good with a decent pair of headphones, and acceptable with the included earbuds. What impresses me the most is the amazing sensitivity of this thing. Mine picks up stations from well over 100 miles away! I bought mine as an emergency radio for information in case of a catastrophe or weather emergency, and it's perfect for that, but now I'm enjoying listening to FM music stations. For the price, just go ahead and get one!

Mostly All Good
PROs: It has surprisingly good sound for such a little unit. The interface is easy to use (once programmed) so you can operate it by touch only, useful at night. Any smartphone with an FM tuner-app can play radio, but you can't operate an app by feel only. The radio has a sleep mode that shuts off after 90, 60, or other programmable number of minutes. Has a lock button so keys don't get accidentally pushed in a pocket or in bed. Stores up to 29 stations as presets. Rechargable Li battery is a good choice for an emergency radio, since you can keep it running from your car, computer, or pocket chargers, etc. That seems better than betting that you'll have the right size alkaline battery around when you need it. It's a small and good-looking radio besides (I got the gold-tone model).CONS: These are not deal-breakers, just annoyances. The biggest problem is that the instructions are wrong. To store preset stations, you must press Memo once; it flashes memo, then press that same key again. That's it. the M+ and M- keys are only for moving through the preset list. They have nothing to do with storing presets. You can figure that out with experimentation, as I did, but it is puzzling why they would print wrong instructions. Another con is that the lowest volume is still pretty loud for nighttime. You can loosen the earbuds to lower the volume further. Earbuds that come with it are uncomfortable, but high quality earbuds are not hard to come by these days.Overall, I wanted a small radio to do two things: 1. be operable by feel for nighttime insomnia, and 2. Use Li rechargable battery for my emergency kit. This radio meets the need at a very good price.

A nearly perfect radio
This is my third try at getting a radio I can use to listen to post-game shows and while commuting on local light rail system. It's the best so far.It charges easily with USB-C, and the charge last way more than I need. Once you figure it out (don't throw away the instructions too fast) it's easy to use.The down sides:- I don't think I think the way Chinese designers do. You really need to spend 15 minutes figuring things out. That said, it's more obvious than the previous two I've had, and the instructions are, well, ok.- Chinese FM must use different standards than North America. In the US and Canada, FM operates between 88 and 108 mega hertz, and only at odd multiples of 0.1 MHz (like 93.1, 93.3, but not 93.2). This thing can operate between 64 and 108 MHz, and at any multiple of 0.1 MHz; setting things up is tedious.Other than that, I'm very happy.

Great little radio
I bought this nice little radio for my partner. He loves it! It fits in his shirt pocket and the charge lasts a long time. I definitely would recommend this radio at a good price ~ thank you. Karen Olson

Needs battery meter.
Gave four stars because three and one-half not an option. Have only used for about a week at time of this review and mainly on AM band.First, size is about same as quarter inch thick credit card. And it is light, about like a single AA battery. I was expecting a bit more heft, especially with a built in battery. Was a bit disappointed with AM reception. Is decent, but does not compare to a good table-top AM radio. For city dwellers likely not an issue, for rural folks the radio orientation matters.Otherwise, the button switches have nice click and feel. The audio jack which has caused me problems with many other devices is working very good so far but time will tell on that. I sat down and read the little manual to understand the memory functions, but is really fairly simple in operation.I use a lightweight Koss headset for listening and therefore cannot comment on the included earbuds. Can say however that sound quality on both bands is about what you would expect from a little radio. Not dynamic but decent.Screen is very readable for tuning and memory slot. Battery power bar though is tiny. Too small IMO. Have only charged battery once, so don't have a good handle on it's life other than it is exceeding my expectations.Lock switch works well. It prevents accidental changes in station and volume from button bumping while working. The ninety minute auto-off can be a pain but is minor point for me.If radio still working well a year from now would have no problem recommending without reservation.Update--6 months since purchased. Have dropped rating one star to okay. Biggest negative is battery life and the lack of a battery bar to monitor it. Imagine your cellphone quitting without warning because battery ran out. Unless you just took off charger and know the little battery is full, there is no way to know when it needs charging till it shuts off then only lasts a few seconds on restarting. No other complaints. Bottom line, radio okay but on a do-over would spend more and buy a full featured small radio.

Terrible Quality Reception
The radio does a very poor job of tuning to a signal and filtering out interference. This is the third radio I've had of this type, and the reception quality is much, much poorer to the point of being useless in some locations. The reason I keep replacing these radios is that the controls are flimsy and don't last long, but there are few alternatives in this convenient size and they are quite cheap. Perhaps the quality of all these radios has gone downhill, or maybe this is just a very poor version.

Small and compact with static free signal
It works perfectly. I was able to tune in to low frequency stations with no problems. Signal was very clear. Strong battery life as well.
