Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening

This is one of the best PS2 titles. I give the game a 9.5 / 10. IMO it beats out DMC1. I have not played DMC2 (heard it's worth skipping). The first game is focused on exploration and a singular location (the castle), DMC3 has more combat (action) and a variety of locations the player will visit while chasing after the antagonist. The story and characters are a bit more involved this time as the protagonist faces off against his own family. The voice acting continues to be excellent (compared to the original), the environments interesting and dark expanding into many different regions. The level and variety of weapon upgrades seen in the first game continues with the same style of upgrading. More moves are offered, familiar enemies old and new appear and boss battles remain interesting and challenging. I found the story was more of a pull this time and was most impressed with the FMVs with the character interactions (great voicing acting too).If you want one of the best titles the PS2 offers this is a must, if you liked DMC1 you will be pleasently surprised that DMC3 out does even the excellent original.

Devil may cry 3 special edition is one of the funnest games I've ever played. It being special. Edition, u get new difficulty modes, the game is a little easier than the original, u get a new setting called turbo mode, new weapons, new jester boss(who u have to fight a lot throughout the game), unlockable costume for dante, and once u beat the game as dante, u can unlock vergil, his brother, as a playable character. For the price I got it for; used-like new:about $6:00, it is like ripping off amazon because it works perfectly and I know the game itself is worth at least $25:00. If u love action/adventure games that involves guns and swords, and a little bit of comedy, get this game the second u first c it. Devil may cry 3 special edition is a must have for anyone who enjoys ps2 games as much as me since this game was well thought out for its time period.

I love everything about Dmc3 and DMC3se except for the fact that noobs get a super costume just for beating very hard mode making DMC3 the hardest in the franchise. Gold mode also make it more noob friendly but that was to address complaints of the game being way too hard. My only real complaint is with the delivery. THE MAIL MAN LEFT MY GAME IN THE HOT ASS MAILBOX AND I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THE DELIVERY UNTIL 3 HOURS LATE.

It arrived as described, flawless, no disc scratches in good quality condition. Console laser disc picked it up immediately with no issues. Thank You!!

I certainly have enjoyed this game very much considering how fast it arrived, how long it took to complete(not even 100%), and how many puzzles I had to solve. It's quite entertaining and is also just epic. I gave the game 5 stars for how fun it was, but four stars overall because it is tricky, if not hard. You're going to have to find certain weaknesses to the bosses instead of just hacking and slashing at them without a clue, especially on Dante Must Die Mode.

Thank you to the provider to this game, the game was fun and i can actually understand why many Devil May Cry fans were more interested in the mechanics than the flashy style of one's character design. It had humor and at the same time, it had a valuable lesson: Everyone is vunerable to emotions, even devils. There are some things that pegged me in annoyance that provides towards skill of the player and not the game. Nice job Hideki Kamiya.

i love dante

I'm keeping this short and simple.The Seller shipped the game really quick and it was in mint condition!My favorite of the series, so it wad a triple good buy for me hahaha.If you like the game or wish to play it but all the places around you don't sell it, you should get it. (No I'm not advertising )
