This is a fantastic case! It is easy to use and provides great all-around protection for the iPad. All of the corners of the iPad are well-covered and button access is fully enabled. The Bluetooth pairing is seamless and the trackpad works well.The placement of the iPad in either horizontal or vertical use is effective and easy with a magnetic attachment to the case. The stand is at a fixed angle but the angle works well.The only downsides of this case are:1) its weight (slightly heavier and thicker than the Apple Magic Keyboard, but 1/3 the price — and the ESR case provides much better iPad protection); and2) lack of a dedicated storage partition for the Apple Pencil (which is easily knocked off if not being used while the case is open.) This latter challenge is also present on the Apple Magic Keyboard, without a flap to hold the pencil in place while traveling.Overall, this product is a great value. It is a highly functional case, with the biggest problem being the Apple Pencil storage while the case is open. If you don't use the Apple Pencil regularly and do want a great keyboard case, this is one you should purchase.

The main reason I got this case was because you could turn the iPad into portrait mode, which is really useful for editing photos. I also love that the iPad sits in a slim case and is well protected with a secure spot for the pencil.The first thing I noticed was how heavy it was out of the box, but I think this is needed for this case. For the iPad to sit in portrait mode (and also in the very useful higher iPad view that sits more at your eye level) there probably needs to be extra weight to the case to keep it from tipping over.I’ve been using this for a couple weeks and I only have a few minor grips, nothing too major. It soaks up finger oil and I wish they had a version with a more matte covering, the keys take a few seconds to activate after you’ve been inactive for more than ten minutes (I wish I could extend that time and just charge more often) and the hand often activates the trackpad when typing (you can reduce the sensitivity of the trackpad and just practice holding your palms up to resolve this)Overall, I think this is a great keyboard. There are probably some tradeoffs to the Magic Keyboard, but it’s a third of the price and you get some features that you don’t get on the Magic that are very useful. I love the build quality and versatile nature of the case.

This case feels really premium, good built quality. The only thing I noticed was how heavy and bulky it’s for my needs.I put the pic for a side by side view for reference compared to the Magic Keyboard.As a woman, I bought my iPad to avoid walking with a laptop so I won’t have to carry around heavy stuff all the time.I décide to go with the Magic Keyboard, beside from it being expensive, i like the fact that is thinner and lighter than this one.But if you don’t have a big budget, go for this one, is a really good deal plus you get 2 cases and your Pencil will be protected.

This case/keyboard is wonderful! Beats the apple one by 1/3 the price! Also you can still use this one when your iPad is unattached which is a nice feature. The trackpad is very smooth. The keyboard connects instantly when you open the case up. The iPad pro is held securely and you can also mount it vertically! The magnetic flap holds the Apple pencil pro securely when you close the case!

I use my iPad mostly as a tablet (flat on a table or in my hands), but occasionally want a keyboard for light messaging/commenting. This ESR case is not for me. It seems to be aimed at people who want a laptop 80% of the time and a tablet 20% of the time.+ Good build quality+ Stand supports the tablet in landscape or portrait mode- Bluetooth device: have to pair it, wait for connection on each use, and charge the battery- Thick & heavy- Can’t use the tablet flat without opening clamshell (a two-handed operation) and removing the tablet- Angle is steep, so it’s unsuitable for use on a table or counter while standingFor my tablet-first use case, what I really want is a Logitech Combo Touch (lightweight, fold the keyboard out of the way for tablet use, physical connection) but with the build quality of the ESR keyboard case.

At first, I hated the idea of having to charge my keyboard because the Apple one doesn’t require a charger. But it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to take because the iPad continues to have a case on it when you remove it from the keyboard. I do a lot of switching back-and-forth from keyboard to writing and the magnetic case makes the biggest difference. All of the touch functions also work with this keyboard.Connecting to Bluetooth was a one time deal, and then it automatically connected every time within seconds of turning on the keyboard. I’m honestly surprised with how much I love it. It’s very well-made.

When I first got the case I was very excited. The build quality is good. Feels sturdy. Love that you can use the ipad in landscape or portrait mode. Love the flap that secures the apple pencil. I have use the keyboard 3 times. It disconnected from Bluetooth. Tried to repair it it wouldn't connect. Forgot the device and tried again. Would not pair. Did a factory reset by holding C R L. The lights blinked 3 times confirming the reset. Would not pair. Tried resetting it again and now it won't even power on. For being over $100 I expect a lot more than this. I will have to suck it up and get the Apple magic keyboard instead. Disappointed because I love a lot of ESR products but this ain't it!

Great case!! This is what I was looking for. I was looking for a good case that was easy to work with and this is it. The case is easy to set up and I like how the keyboard glows.
