Q: What size would fit a one year old Labrador?

The guide says 5 and I would agree especially if he's on larger size or has a long snout! We have a 3 and a 4 for our 48 pound wheaten terrier and both fit but 4 is really little big, and the 4 fits our 81 pound boxer too. So if your dog is on smaller side maybe the 4, either way it will still work properly and have enough room around neck.

Q: Will this fit my chihuahua 7 lbs.?

Probably not. I bought one for a 10/11 lb terrier and it was way too big. I found a mesh one that was a much better fit and I could still treat my dog. The baskerville one was almost as big as my dogs head. I got the Coastal Pet Best Fit Adjustable Mesh Dog Muzzle (Black, Size 3) The size 2 would probably fit a chi.

Yes indeed, The holes in the muzzle are large enough for your dog to not only drink water but also eat food. If your dog has trouble drinking or eating, It could be the size of the bowel you use. Try a larger drinking or eating dish depending on the size of the muzzle. It really works even if your dog is stubborn at 1st.
