Easy to use and very handy
This Surface Cleanliness Tester is a simple and easy tool to use check if surfaces are clean. It gives me quick and accurate results, allowing me to see that things are hygienic. Swab wasn't included with it so you would have to buy it separately. Overall a great handy device for your business or even personal use.

Good Price, Poor Reliability, and Zero Customer Support — Not Worth the Risk
I purchased the Goyojo ATP meter in February this year, mainly attracted by its ease of use and affordable price point compared to other ATP meters. Out of the box, the device looked promising: setup was straightforward, the instructions were clear, and during the first couple of weeks it worked reasonably well. As someone who uses this type of equipment to evaluate farm sanitation, having a reliable ATP meter is critical, so I had high hopes that this would become part of our regular monitoring routine.Unfortunately, that initial good impression did not last. After only a few weeks of light, careful use — about six samples every two weeks — the device began showing abnormally high readings, and soon after it stopped producing results altogether. Every test, whether with a swab, an empty tube, or a cleaned surface, returned “0”, which is scientifically implausible.I followed every troubleshooting step outlined in the manual and suggested by the company:Replaced the batteries multiple times.Stored and used the swabs properly in the refrigerator.Even placed the device next to a dehumidifier, as suggested.Tried both control/empty tests and real surface swabs.None of these efforts restored functionality. The meter simply stopped working after only about three months. What made the situation worse was the complete absence of customer support. I reached out several times to report the issue, providing detailed explanations of my troubleshooting steps and reminding them that the unit is still under the one-year warranty. To this day, I have received no helpful answer, no acknowledgement of responsibility, and no guidance on how to process a warranty claim. It feels as if the company simply disappears once you encounter a problem. This is deeply frustrating because ATP meters are not gadgets — they are tools that professionals rely on for sanitation, safety, and compliance. Reliability and support are just as important as price, and in this case, both have failed.Pros:Affordable price.Simple to use at first.Cons:Device stopped working after light use.Inconsistent readings (“very high” followed by impossible “0” values).Troubleshooting did not resolve the issue. No customer service response despite repeated attempts.Warranty support is nonexistent.Final verdict:Even though the Goyojo ATP meter seemed like a cost-effective solution at first, the poor reliability and complete lack of after-sales service have ruined my confidence in this product and the brand. I cannot recommend it to others. For something as critical as sanitation monitoring, it is worth investing in a meter from a company that not only builds reliable devices but also stands behind them when problems arise.

Seems to work ok.
Overall, this worked ok, but one thing to pay very close attention to, is removing and inserting the chamber for the ATP test device. It has a tendency to hang up a little bit. So pay very close attention to the orientation, make sure you have it pointed correctly or you can damage it.The reason for the star off, is...AA batteries? Really? We should be living in the era of the AA battery going out of style in favor of small rechargeable LiPo packs. No, here we run on AA batteries for some reason. So, in sticking with my tendency to give good advice, after you're done using this, REMOVE THE BATTERIES (*super-ultra pro tip x1000*). Yes, it's a pain to set the time and date every time you use it. But, if you don't, the alternative might be taking this out and powering it up, only to find it dead. Then you open it up to change the batteries, and the old batteries have leaked all over the place. You don't want to see $5 batteries run a $700 machine. If you have employees that use this, make sure they do the same. It's nice, but I'd rate it higher if it was rechargeable and I didn't have "leaking alkaline battery paranoia" eating away inside me.

Simple and Easy to Use
This surface cleanliness tester is easy to use and it is very tempting to test everything around you. It is pretty simple to operate using the buttons. I dislike the fact that it uses batteries, when having a rechargeable battery would be much more efficient and recharging it would be so much easier, as everyone has a charger with them these days. I like that it has a little case to keep it stored in. It gives you the results quickly and the screen is easy to read. The ease of use and fast results make this very useful for testing on the go. The biggest thing I would recommend is looking up how much the swabs cost, as this doesn’t come with any. They are pretty expensive and that has to be taken into consideration when looking at which brand to go with, as this doesn’t work with just any old swab you may have. All in all, I like the speed, ease of use and accuracy of this detector.
