Worth it's weight in gold
Amazing device. It was so nice to put solar and alternator through one device. Very small considering what the competition looks like. I've only been using it a few days but it's performed perfectly on both alternator and solar so far.I do wish it had some monitoring capability either through an integrated Bluetooth device or a module like renogy but there are other ways to monitor.

Works for LiFePO4 batteries only. No temperature sensor is available for lead-acid batteries.
Updated: This charger works well BUT should only be used on LiFePO4 batteries. It is not possible to get a temperature sensor and therefore it is not safe to use on any kind of lead-acid battery.I hooked this up in my travel trailer. The input is the old DC converter which I disconnected from the DC distribution panel and rewired into this DC-DC charger. The output goes to bus bars that in turn feed a pair of 100ah gel batteries. The runs are short, less than three feet and all made with 8 gauge wire. I discharged the batteries to about 80%, then started this to charging. With the 20 amp jumper installed it showed an initial charge rate of 18.5 amps. In a few minutes it was down to about 10 amps. I let it run overnight. The batteries are now at 13.5 volts and the charge rate is about 0.16 amps. The fan never came on and the unit did not get even warm to the touch.Taking off one star because of the temperature sensor problem.I contacted LiTime customer service through their web site to ask about a temperature sensor. They replied within 24 hours. After some conversation, they told me that the temperature sensor was not available and never would be. No other temperature sensor is known to work. Since I am using lead-acid batteries, the temperature sensor is critical to getting the charge voltages correct. They offered to refund the product. They sent me a return label. Within a week of me sending back the unit, they had credited my Amazon account. 5 stars for customer service.

Nice compact dual input charger
This unit fits perfectly behind my passenger seat in the Tacoma. I especially like the dual input feature of this device so the service battery can be charged by either the Starter battery or by solar panels. It comes with 3 Anderson connectors, mounting screws, and a manual with wiring diagram. Hooked everything up by connecting the service battery first, then the solar panels and then selected the baterry type to charge. Monitored the amperage as it topped off the lithium battery, which then showed fully charged and the current went to zero. So far it's working as expected. The only concern is that the main heat sink is on the bottom, which also recommends mounting vertically so heat travels out the top. I have it mounted horizontally so will monitor the temperature as it does a full charge cycle. Might have to add some cooling if it gets too hot. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

Bad customer service
Does not work. Looked like good quality when unboxing instructions were easy and clear. But customer service is on cmt+8 time zone meaning you have to be up at 3 am for live chat. Even though the website says litime US , the foreign phone number is unreachable. The live chat takes about 2 days for a response so keep your phone charger handy and a good book to pass the time or call the IRS and listen to the elevator music to pass the time. Will update if I get a response sometime this yearUpdated ...... after 4.5 weeks got another been using it for a boat anchor!!! Works good for that !!!! As a dc to dc charger it is absolutely worthless. It was supposed to charge as either 60 amp or 30 can only get 5amps output . Also will discharge house batteries overnight. I would highly recommend NOT buying this junk

Exactly what I needed, at a price I can afford
Was running this with some 12v solar panels for a while and was disappointed when I upgraded to 30 VOC CIGS panels and discovered it wouldn’t work (the overload protection would cut out at around 26v). Susan at LiTime let me know their latest version would work for my setup and arranged for a replacement, free of charge. Works like a charm now! Fast DC to DC chargers seem to be pretty popular right now, and there are a number of great options, but this setup takes all the guesswork out of combining solar and alternator charging, which means I can run my fridge all weekend without turning on my truck. It also makes disconnecting my camping setup really easy when I need to use my truck as a truck. Really glad I went with LiTime; customer support was fantastic and they really stand behind their products.

Connections do not work!
Works as stated, Anderson connections provided DO NOT WORK. You will definitely have to cut wires and make new connections which sucked as there is only 6” of length from unit to bogus Anderson connections. Once that hassle was over it definitely works as advertised as for dcdc charging and solar input. Unit does not show accurate levels for battery just idiot light for “charging”“Full/float” or “off”.

Good
I use this 40 amps DC to DC as 20 amps changer to back up change the 300ah LiFeO4 battery, l connect the car ignition to the in+ first, it didn't work, I than changed to the D+ port, it's finally working. I don't want to use the red jumper because it will let you car charge the battery the whole time. I give it 4 stars because the manual is not that clear show which signal port for connect the ignition wire. Hope this can helps someone. I put this charger under my RAM pro master driver seat, it fits perfectly, l also added a switch for the ignition wire, added 40 amps fuse for each battery. Again, ignition wire +12v connect to the D+ port (the small red wire in the 1st photo). Good luck.
