What is this on the Scoville scale?

Depends on the batch, an if the bottles ended up getting heated up from the outside heat. Other wise I'd say its middle of the road on the scale. With the Habanero. Its hot enough for me. the scoville scale never really holds up for me. Too much variable, if you like Habaneros fresh this is good for you. (It does have carrots if that helps you make a choice. ) If you don't then consider a jalapeno sauce.

Why is this overpriced by almost $5?! It’s in the stores for much much less. What’s the reasoning??

Likely because not many stores carry it. Where I live buying it online is the only way I can get it. If your able to buy it in a store near you do it. Keep them buying it.
