Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron Care Kit, 6 Ounce

This is a great little kit to have, especially if you are just starting out using cast iron. The scrubber and scaper combo has kept my pan very clean and the oil spray works wonders for keeping it rust free and ready to go each time I use it.

Very nice kit once I found out what the rubber red thing was for..... I was starting to get concerned about what I ordered. Now I know it goes over the handle of the pan. Lol. Who knew....

I’m new to cast irons and was struggling to care for mine before I found this kit. This kit has been very helpful and has resulted in better cooking outcomes. The spray is reserved for just my cast iron, and only takes a little bit of spray, so with its size, I’m sure it’ll last a while.

I love this little kit. The scraper, brush, and handle holder are all super beneficial for the care of a cast iron. The scraper and brush perform really well in cleaning the cast iron, especially when food is caked onto the piece. The fit of the handle holder worked well for my cast iron that wasn’t Lodge branded and protected well against heat and has a pretty comfortable fit. The red is pretty cute on the black cast irons too.My only issue with the kit is the oil. Wasn’t aware it was just canola oil (which I have heard is not the best quality of oil for your cast irons.) I feel like the spray sprays unevenly and distributes too much product, so I always have to pass my cast irons with a napkin to absorb the extra and to better distribute the product. I reach more often for my avocado oil for the seasoning part of care but I will be switching to beef tallow/animal fat for cast iron seasoning.

Haven't used this yet but certainly will after I use my iron skillet. Looking forward to a job well done with items made for the task.

This kit is a must-have for anyone with a cast iron.The little red scraper is ideal for stuck-on food and makes getting it off very easy. The brush perfectly polishes and also gets rid of any food debris, I do that step second. The handle - oh man, you cannot cook with a cast iron without this rubber handle. And the spray helps keep it from rusting. This kit is great, I received mine as a gift and now I gift it to my friends when I get them cast irons. The kit is just as durable as the cast iron, too - I've been using my kit for 2+ years without having to replace anything!

My son and I both use Lodge cast iron skillets and dutch ovens for car camping. The spray-on cooking oil and scrapers are very handy. The scrapers especislly seem to be a litter harder than most plastic pan scrapers and they are very good at removing cooked-on food residue.

I use these products whenever I use my cast-iron skillet. The scraper is excellent and so is the brush. The spray keeps the skillet nice and seasoned.
