I have always used wooden utensils because of my Calphalon cookware. These caught my eye one day as a Deal of the Day. Then I looked at my current set and they looked pretty bad. These utensils are great, they of course change color depending on how high of a heat you cook with (I have turned mine a little darker lol) but it does not stop their functionality. In my opinion, I like having kitchenware that shows I’ve used it. No problems with chipping or peeling!

This set of wooden cooking utensils is a great addition to my kitchen. I recently decided to leave plastic utensils behind and acquire wooden spatulas, turners instead. I wasn’t sure how it would work out, but there was no difficulty in making the transition at all. I enjoy using them. The quality is great. I’m looking forward to taking care of them per the enclosed instructions and using them for a very, very long time.

I must say these wooden spoon/spatula utensils are pretty decent for the money. After sometime of cooking, they do turn much darker, especially if you use the same one constantly but they’re very durable and do the job well. I would not suggest scraping the pan with these utensils to try to get off excess food. Some of these pans have ridges that would put wear and tear on them. Also, after you finish cooking, do not leave the utensils inside the pan while it’s still hot because that’ll cause the them to get darker. However, with that being said, it’s always good every once in a while to coat them with some light mineral oil. These spoons are made out of 100% teak wood and are echo friendly trace free alternative.
