Good little device.The PC program to see the measurements can be better.It shows everything nicely, but after you save the chart and later try to open it again, the program crashes.

Great purchase! I ve been testing it for a short time, but it seems to have a good performance. The software is awfull. I still need to test the datalogger function and the battery consumption.

This unit does not have data logging. I’m using it to monitor kiln temperature. I purchased a kit (separately) to remove the need for batteries and it still powers off after about 8-12 hours. I feel this may either be defective, or lack of transparency by seller. Not a big issue if someone is using it to read the temperature, however since my intention was to track and analyze the data on my computer, I can’t do it with this model, which is why I bought it in the first place. Ideally, if this product did what I thought it was supposed to, it could track my whole firing schedule (12-24 hours), however disappointed because it’s essentially a steel tipped laser pointer thermometer. I’ve used the current set up to monitor greenware up until the lower limits of the quartz inversion stage with the capabilities by the thermocouple that came with the product, and cones the rest of the way. I’m waiting on a porcelain encased, platinum rhodium tip k type probe, but may consider refunding this unit due to its limited functionality for my uses in the meantime.

Accurate (I calibrated it against a NIST traceable thermometer), can use other thermocouples with probes, but connecting to the computer was not possible.I contacted the vendor and they provided three times the same information that came with the unit "Go to the website, download and install this driver"... That was the first thing I did after unboxing the unit and putting on batteries.I had to explain every time they were repeating themselves.There's no use for an unit that can store tens of thousands of data points if you have to copy them from the screen.

I like it because of the temperature accuracy and ease of use. I have not had it long enough to evaluate longevity, but I'm hopeful. It is just what I needed to measure the air temperature drop and rise in my geothermal heat pump.

This TC data logger is a great value, just what I needed. It’s robust and provides a way to graph and record Temperature data accurately from 4 thermocouples to a computer continuously to monitor and save for analysis at a price point that’s a fraction of most other options. The supplied usb cable had an issue with the computer plug end not connecting securely so had to replace.
