The Witcher Official Cookbook: Provisions, Fare, and Culinary Tales from Travels Across the Continent Hardcover – November 21, 2023

This is exactly what I was looking for! After getting introduced to The Witcher through a friend, I always kept an eye out for anything and everything Witcher related. This is the absolutely perfect book to add to your inventory. The recipes in the book are very instructive, the pictures matched the recipe you'll work on, and the recipes chosen honor the world of The Witcher universe. They are exactly what I imagined they would be. If you're a fan of The Witcher series (both books and/or games), or just looking for a creative flair to your cooking, I'd strongly recommend this book!

I'm not a cook. I'm not even that familiar with kitchens outside of how to find cereal and maybe a grilled cheese if pressed by the kids. But I AM a major Witcher fan. I bought this cookbook because of that connection and the desire to branch out of my normal comfort spaces (and the desire to cook for my wife for once). This book is so beautifully photographed and so thoughtfully woven into the lore that I felt a sense of familiarity with the meals vs. being intimidated by them. Everything is clearly explained and the recipes aren't so daunting as to feel like you need to be a certain level of a cook to start them. I love the variety of the dishes- from dips, to snacks, to drinks, to meals... it's a little of everything. As a collector of all things Witcher, I'm so proud to have this on my shelf and to have it getting dirty from use. It's a prize and a source of pride. If you don't want to cook and are just looking for a shelf trophy- it is beautiful. Silver leafing, clean rune lines and properly thick. But I highly encourage anyone of any level of kitchen witchin' to give the meals a shot.I've included a shot of my first attempt at cooking in over three decades- and it came out DELICIOUS!

I LOVE THIS COOKBOOK! I LOVE IT! I love that there is a message or notation from the Author of the series in it, I love that there are plenty of photographs to show you what your meal should look like at the end of the receipe all in the Witcher World Style! I love that there are actual good, clear, concise cooking recommendations, suggestions and or advice for what to use in terms of ingredients, how's & don'ts! I love the variety of food to fit the vast regions of The Witcher World I enjoyed reading & exploring! From Beauclair to Novigrad it's a delight! This cookbook was the best birthday present I got and I am so happy to have it and I'm going to make the best cookies for Christmas I can! All with a loving Witch's playful touch! Chef Kiss!

This is a cookbook filled not only with a lovely foreword, fun Witcher bits, and excellent recipes. Yes, some of them are complex but the instructions are well written and thought out. I've purchased a number of book, TV show, and video game cookbooks and this one really stands out. It's more along the same lines as the Official Game of Thrones Cookbook, though in my opinion it is a bit better.So far I've made the Groats (easy) and the Pumpkin Stew (not hard but more involved) Both were delicious and not terrible for the body. Looking forward to digging in to the rest of the recipes!

Book has great looking dishes to try…

As a huge fan of the books and with over 3000 hrs playing Witcher 3 (though many hardcore fans played double that) I will saythe book is beautiful, yes it is obviously "inspired by" the books but it still has a few very good direct connecting recipes (though in the books Lambert could only make noodles so I was hoping for a noodle recipe and the Pensive Dragon recipes would have been really nice)This book is still well worth the money imho, I am a bit of a true Witcher nut and adore the books which is why I still have yet to watch the Netflix series because it is to far off from books I love so much.The recipes are easy to make and adapt to taste sure the book could have more direct connecting recipes but the photography is beautiful and I am happy with it.

Super happy with my purchase, the book came in excellent condition. Haven’t tried any of the recipes yet, but I’m excited to try them.
