very effective
I've been wearing this for 8-9 months just above the hip creases for at least a couple hours almost daily. My low back pain is gone. The anti-slip grip is very effective and can be a little uncomfortable on bare skin after a few hours, but I guess that's the tradeoff for zero slip. A few times I felt worse after wearing this and I think this is why: sometimes when I was pulling the belt tight using the rectangular D-ring for leverage, it was pulling my SI joints apart. So now after I pull it tight, I run my thumbs under the belt from front to back along each side, like I'm letting the SI joints back together, and that takes care of it. I also had some success with placing the D-ring in the back closer to the sacrum, but I haven't had to bother with that since I've been running my thumbs under the belt from front to back. My long term plan is to strengthen my core and hip muscles a ton so the muscles will hold the SI joints together, but until then, this belt has been my solution.

Great!
I like that it is fairly thin and undetectable under clothing. It is soft, the silicone prevents it from slipping, and the material is soft against the skin.I’m having great relief from pain due to sacroiliac instability. Im about to buy another one so I can have two.Edit - I should say that I am a woman and my husband and I share one account. So even though it says Bruce, this is Mrs Bruce. 😊

Package label size mislabled.
Whoever packaged the belt put the wrong size description on package. I had to return the first one and only by luck got the size I wanted. The belt itself is of fine quality and as advertised.

Works great, but breaks very quickly.
This is the second time I have tried this belt. The first on lasted almost a month before the metal piece twisted. Once the metal piece twists, it does not stop and only gets worse. The issue with the metal piece twisting is that when it twists, you loose the compression on your joint. - meaning you loose the benefit of wearing it. With that said, this belt was a life saver! It relieved so much of my pain that I was willing to accept having to buy a new one every month, so I ordered this second one. I was so excited and relieved to have my belt back, but this one twisted after only 2 days of wearing it. It is just not reasonable to order a new $20 belt every other day.I also do not understand why the small belt is more expensive than the other sizes.

Great Product!
This works so well! I'm 5'1", 92 lbs, and this fits! It's comfortble, stays in place and is easy to tighten.

*Sound of angels singing*
Yes, cheaply made and rubbery and wads up and kind of uncomfortable...but I am 8 months pregnant and my SI joint finally, after a lot of trouble, just gave out. I found myself unable to walk at all and had a terrifying afternoon of creeping along walls and hopping. While waiting to get back into physical therapy (she had recommended trying this, but trying to put it off as long as possible in order to not lose muscle tone because of the belt doing the work instead of pelvic girdle muscles), I ordered this with fast shipping and as soon as I got it on really tight, I could WALK!. Yes, it got uncomfortable at the grocery store on the bottom of my bump etc, but still, the difference between being able to turn over in bed, sit up or down, or walk versus doing none of those things...well, indescribable. The key is that the belt buckle thing works as a pulley/lever so you can cinch it really tight enough to hold the bones in place. My suggestion would be to try where you lie on your side and have someone try to push the SI joint back together - if that relieves your pain, this is basically like having someone apply that much force while you are upright.By the way, I measured hips at about 40-41 inches. I'm 5'1" about 128 lbs pre-pregnancy, probably 150 now, and this fit me in medium. Sizing appears accurate. I also worried about someone saying that curves mess it up but I'm pretty curvy and it was fine.Loses one star for the quality, but OMG totally does the job.

Really helps !!
I was having some issues with sciatic pain down my right leg; it didn't seem to be a back issue. My theory was an SI. I had tried heat, ice, rubs and it would help for the short term, but my symptoms continued. After three weeks I figured I should see a MD. I knew a doctors visit would probable lead to an xray, mri and PT...$$$$$ ! I bought this belt as a last resort to try. After about a week sleeping with this on, I noticed a huge difference. I was able to get a good nights rest without waking multiple times a night in pain. I was sleeping with out ice or heat for the first time in weeks. After wearing this a couple weeks to bed and my daytime symptoms were pretty much gone. I think my issue was acute sacroiliitis that flared up after increasing my evening walking distance. I decided to start wearing the belt on long walks to help prevent the problem again. The belt stays in place well with normal walking, I haven't tried in on hike or more intense walking situations yet. So far the pain hasn't returned.

It needs to stay tight and not shift when moving
The loop you put it through to tighten up will swivel the metal ring swivels and it doesn’t work right this is not a very well-made item unfortunately
