When I recently bought a car , I was told the battery is in perfect condition but after a session of cleaning up while having the radio on , it proved my battery was dead .In the middle of trying my best to resuscitate it by charging , using a jump starter as the charging wouldn`t do anything , I bought this device to figure it out why the battery remains flat despite all this struggle .I was surprised to find out that my battery was dead and the cells wouldn`t charge any more so I had to go for a new one .Now , I`m monitoring constantly , especially this months when cold starting , to make sure I have the right tension and everything is in the graphic .It has a large display and what I like the most is I can actually see the power in percentage , rather than having vague estimations .

Tried on a few batteries, seems to work well.Reason I chose this one is it gives CCA reading of the battery, not just a good or replace battery reading like most.You can explain to the customer how much it’s worn and how long they can expect it to last!The addition of the teeth on the clips is nice, gets a good contact when the terminals are corrodedColour screen is nice and high resolution too

im a journeymen mechanic wanting a conductance battery tester for home,found this unit and pulled the trigger. This unit works very well, especially considering the low unit cost. I took this unit to work and checked it against the shop midtronics mdx700 on about 50 batteries . the two units mostly agreed during testing. When they disagreed the tested batteries were marginal with the ancel unit being slightly pessimistic compared to the midtronics. The ancel called the battery "replace " while the mdx 700 called the batt good. On average the ancel was about 50 to 60 amps low (Definitely not a deal breaker). If 50 amps is gonna make or break your replacement decision id honestly just repalce it or better yet save the money and have a shop test it . I find the tester to be consistent and never called a battery good that wasn't. Overall i find it to be accurate and consistant when compared the the mdx unit and 900% less money. im glad i bought it and woud def buy again.

Although it doesn't show in photos or description, but the device does provides both State of Charge (SOC) as well as State of Health (SOH) readings.
