Can this be used with EPO foam planes?

Yes, but the temperature is critical. To high and you will expand the EPO foam, to low and the adhesion is poor. I've got very good results with practice. I would start with my iron temperature at approximately 175° F in a inconspicuous area, then make small heat adjustments until satisfied with the results.
