Not sure what the material is, but it's rugged and looks good. It's a little rough to the touch and feels like more than one layer of material. I bought one for a ukulele, then bought another in same pattern for a 7/8 size guitar. It has some padding to it, too. This fits a Gretsch Jim Dandy perfectly.

Q: Will this fit a baby Taylor?

I am using it for a Yamaha NXT700, which fits nicely. Google the measurements of that instrument and compare with your Baby Taylor -- see what you think. Gig bag is well made, and fun to have something more distinctive than plain black.
