Solid Cologne - Made in Scotland (Viking)

Bought this for my boyfriend who spends a great deal of time in the great outdoors camping and bushcrafting. Seeing this product I thought it would be perfect..he wouldn't be carrying a glass spray bottle of cologne with him in the woods but a solid cologne in a tin?? Great idea. I admit I was a little sceptical when it arrived as the tin is tiny, however the smell is incredible (I went for Viking...this time!). And my boyfriend absolutely loves it. A little definitely does go a long way, the scent is even better on the skin and it lasts for a long time. The fact it comes in a small tin is fantastic as it can go with him wherever he ends up in the wilderness! I have already ordered another (Big Smoke this time) and kinda want to try all of them! Fantastic product, delivered super quick, awesome scent.....100% will be my go to for my other half from now on.

Accidentally closed/lost a long scent review and I've gone a bit nose blind from trying to parse out these colognes. Suffice to say that all three are variants on the kind of scents I already enjoy (I'm a big CKOne/Hugo Boss Dark Blue fan), and I picked all the ones that had citrus fruits in the description.Viking is probably my favourite, being a really bright up-front lemon-and-juniper thing (like a good martini) - a real summer winner and one I've been wearing most days since it arrived.Harris is a bit more woody/earthy/"green" - a lovely outdoor-y scent that really captures the "inspired by the Scottish landscape" bit of the description. Gonna be wearing this through autumn, definitely.Clansman is a more "date night" type scent - a little bit more chill and delicate, but the orange and bergamot fruitiness finds a sort of moreishness from the cassis/blackcurrant tones that definitely makes me (and I hope, my partner) want to keep sniffing it.All three last pretty well (into the 4+ hours range with a pretty light application), and as with all solid or oil-based perfumes, the scents evolve over that time in fun and interesting ways. There's definitely not a bad one in the bunch, and I'm keen to try some more once I run these out.And on top of that, they don't seem to cause my eczema to flare up. I chose an all natural solid perfume since alcohol based ones and cheaper oil based ones (with many artificial perfumes) bother my skin after a few applications; these don't appear to do that. (I've been putting them in the same place every day for a couple of weeks, it doesn't seem to be an issue). I can't guarantee that it'll work for you too, but if you have sensitive skin and like to smell nice, I'd recommend The Solid Cologne Project's work.

Compared to Viking, it's light and sweet!

love handcrafted items , specially this one .the arabic oud smell delicious! soft but still with the typical oud signature . other ouds got a nauseating smell , like those you get when you walk inside selfridges or harrods ;) …. this got nothing to envy to those hyper expensive brands !love it . i’ll get the other scents soon ‘

The smell - I like - the convenience of carrying this with you - I like. But, whatever you do, if you live in a warm climate, do not leave this product in your car, I did and it must not have been flat, the product melted in my centre console storage and leaked completely out of its tin case, then when the sun went down it solidified again trapping objects like coins and various knick knacks in a gooey smelly sludge, which took some cleaning up. Not happy, but I did smell good after, my car too.

Exactly as billed, a genuinely great find, cologne scents are obviously highly personal, this is definitely a masculine scent, found to be well received, (I use at work, as medic, close proximity to people) and I like very much, lingers well, not over powering. no skin irritation. Recommended

With an impending holiday, and the liquid restrictions in hand luggage, I faced another holiday where I’d buy duty free aftershave, just to use on holiday. I’d read about these solid fragrances and thought it would be ideal for travel. Small, compact, light and ultra convenient and better for the environmentWhich it is. All of those thingsI’m currently on holiday, and have been testing this item in the field. Well, in truth, close to the beach!Regrettably, on me at least, it doesn’t work. Nobody has commented on my fragrance, including my wife who would usually do so. I can only conclude nobody can smell it. I certainly can’t. I have put some behind my ears, and on my pulse points on my wrists.As a result I regret my purchase. Since I have used it, I’m not able to return it. A waste of £17.50. Your mileage may vary, other reviews are positive.

Don't go by the picture. It's minuscule. Doesn't last very long and smells ordinary.
