It's okay but could be better
Touch screen works well easy to set up. Fits well in my 2011 Ford fusion. Sounds really good but it does lack features such as wireless Apple play or Android auto. There's a power saving mode where it dims the screen but it makes it very hard to see. If you have the money I'd recommend buying the one that has wireless carplay. If you're on a budget this is a good stereo though

Good cheap radio
Works and sounds great, The interplanetary for programing the radio is a little odd but managable. Bluetooth and android auto work well. Although Android auto must be connected by wire. Only thing I don't like is I couldn't get it to turn off when I turn off the car.

A little slow, but good for the price
I’ve been using this receiver for a while now, and overall, it’s a solid upgrade. The 6.8” touchscreen is responsive and easy to use, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work flawlessly. The sound quality is a big improvement over my stock system, and it has enough power to drive my speakers well. One thing that can be annoying is how slow the Bluetooth is to connect-it takes a little longer than expected. Also, the lack of a physical volume knob is frustrating, especially when using CarPlay. CarPlay doesn’t let you control the volume from your phone, so adjusting it through the touchscreen while driving isn’t the most convenient.Even with those small issues, this is still a great value for the price. If you’re looking to upgrade your car’s audio without spending too much, this receiver is a solid choice.

Not worth it,stay away
Touch screen is a little picky (have to get it just right),the volume up and down buttons are a pain (have to tap the up button each time instead of holding it,the down button is fine and you can hold it), now, after a month of having it,the unit will randomly freeze and restart,if it happens then I have to unplug my phone and replug it in to get Apple CarPlay to work and to get my gps To resume (and hats fun while driving )..I would stay away from this unit5/22/21Gotten worse, happened 4 times today8/10/21So, I thought I have been getting bad amps from sundown audio and have sent three of them back for warranty due to the bass randomly cutting out, was getting ready to send another one back today and I was double checking all the wires and come to find out the sub output that comes out of the head unit somehow is loose inside the unit itself, there was no tension on the wire and I made sure there would not be by leaving slack on my rca cable.I found out it was the radio issue and not the amp by chance,I hit a small bump in the road and the bass stopped,so I smacked the dash and it came back..I pulled the radio out and tapped the side of it and bass went away again, tapped it again and it came back.and also 3 times the unit froze and reset.THIS THING HAS BEEN JUNK SINCE I BOUGT IT,I should have sent it back but I got too busy with dr apts and being sick

Underwhelming
It’s been over 15 years since I last bought an aftermarket radio (pioneer motorized touchscreen DVD receiver and AVIC Nav system). Sadly, this Kenwood DDX5707 unit isn’t much more advanced. First, let’s just get it out of the way, it plays only ripped and burned DVDs or straight “DVD” which no one buys since 2010. Not blu-ray, 4K…just plain DVD. One would think in over a decade of car stereo marketing they surely would have figured that out by now. Second, Apple car play and screen mirroring are ONLY via usb connection, not Bluetooth. The dim feature also can’t be customized to how much dimmer the screen gets when car illumination dims when turning on headlights. It doesn’t dim much. The unit has some nice features like graphic eq and car play and A/V in which can play video from devices if you can get the signal down to a 3.5mm av plug. Good luck finding anything of quality to do that which out engine noise and external feedback from cables. The subwoofer out is also only one mono rca so it requires an rca y cable to get L/R audio for the sub. Overall it’s just underwhelming for the price of last year’s model and requires a lot of extras to make it function. I needed a backup camera retention harness, remote steering wheel control harness, car radio harness to connect direct to Kenwood harness, car antenna retention harness, and the rca y cable to go with a 6 rca out monster cable. I paired this stereo with a Kenwood x802-5 eXcelon 1600W amp and 12” shallow mount Skar 800W sub in a sealed shallow mount box and 4 Kenwood KFC-1666 300W door speakers. The sound quality is on par with what I expected from the Kenwood brand and am fully satisfied in that area. I’m mostly unimpressed with the A/V in options and the limited DVD compatibility.
