Q: Can this work alongside the existing case power on button. What do i need to get them both working ?

I have this fitted on my pc in a separate room to my desk, monitor and input devices. I can switch the PC on easily using the remote from this other room (or if I prefer use the case buttons) I found the installation really easy. Firstly I disconnected the PC from the power then I took off the side panel of my PC and installed the card into a spare PCI slot. I disconnected the case power and reset button cables going into the motherboard and moved/plugged them into the connectors on the newly installed PCI card instead. Then attach the new power and reset cables from the PCI card onto the motherboard, where the original case cables were previously attached. Basically it chains the power and reset button cables through the PCI Card, back to the motherboard. The PC works equally well using the case buttons or the remote. The only tool I needed was a Philips (cross head) screwdriver to take off the side panel and secure the card into the slot. It took just a few minutes and did not require any extras. So far it has been working really well and I am very happy with my purchase.
