So far, so good - Good value
Came packed like new (it's not, just the packaging was good)Yes, this was manufactured in 2019. ( like ad says, not photo) Mine had 29K power on hours on it.CrystalDiskInfo says the health is good, no bad sectorsCame with power converter for white label WD hard drives for internal drives.I didn't know what it is was for, but it allowed the drive to work internally on my PC. ( Google white label WD drives internal use ) So far, so good. Will update if there is a problem. Was on sale when purchased. Figured it was worth taking a chance knowing returning it would no problem.

Purchase with confidence
Love the fact that hard drives of this size are available at a reduced price. Though renewed, I have had no issues with this drive and others. Also, purchasing from Amazon, knowing your return policy, gives me confidence that I am protected.

Heavily used ‘refurbished’ product
Disappointed — Both Drives Were Extremely UsedI received two of these drives. The first had over 27,000 hours of prior use and failed with serious errors, so I had to return it. Thinking it was a one-off, I ordered a replacement — but the second one had 42,000 hours on it (that’s nearly 5 years of runtime). Most drives are only rated for 50,000–60,000 hours, so this one is already near the end of its expected life. If I keep it, it could fail within the year. Disappointing quality for a “refurbished” product.

First Refurbished Drive - Nice!
First time ordering a refurbished hard drive. I have been impressed by the drive and packaging. Sealed up exactly like a new drive. Comes with a 5 year warranty which is VERY nice. Only being used to store data files which are also on a 2nd drive so not worried about a failure, but have no indications that will happen. Drive is speedy and quiet.

The condition is good though.
Passed the hard disk sentinel 120-hour test. This is a good hard drive with no bad sectors. However, power on 13 timesThis hard drive has a usage time of 4.2 years. This is really a hard drive used in a server.I'm a little worried about its lifespan.

Clicking on all 4 drives
Update:My reorder of 4 14tb drives came. These are so much quieter. No clicking on any of them! Just small whirling sounds when they are in operation. This is expected. SMART tests, short and long, came back with no errors. Moral of the story: Don't be afraid to return drives that came with problems. Amazon in really good about returning them, and the drives come with 5 years of warranty.Old Review:I ordered 4 14tb drives. All came packaged well.Put them in Truenas Scale server and ran short and long SMART test. All came back with no errors.During testing I heard the drives making noise. I thought one drive may be bad, but after only running one drive at a time I found that all 4 drives were making a clicking sound.I put data on them to test if I would get any corruption on them. All drives came back with checksum errors. Most were solved by rewriting over the data, but some were copied over 20 times with checksum errors before I gave up on that file. Scrubbing didn't help either.I used different data sata cables to confirm it wasn't the cables.Returning the 4 and ordering 4 more. Hopefully this time they won't make a clicking noise. If so then it is a problem with the supplier not doing their due diligence. The clicking noises were not quiet so it would be hard to miss.
