Does this let water in if it closed when camera is submerged? I'd like to avoid water beading on the lens after taking it out of the water to shoot.

No it will not stop water getting in, it is a simple plastic device that shuts over the lens and stop it getting scratches on if you keep it in your pocket or maybe a bag. But it do protect the lens it is a must have bit of kit one scratch on the lens and the camera will be useless. I also have a screen protector on and keep it in a sunglass bag then slip it in my pocket. If I'm out and about I use a lanyard and let the camera dangle around my neck knowing it is protected.

Can you have this attached at the same time as the protective filter?

I assume you mean a screw on UV filter or similar, then the answer is yes, if you mean over a Colin type filter holder, then no.

Is it suitable for OMD cameras?

This is only for use on the Olympus Tough range of cameras and replaces the bezel ring that surrounds the lens. It does not fit the OMD range

Does the lens cap have to be removed when using the camera underwater?

As I understand it, yes. I always replace the lens cap with the ring that originally was supplied with the camera.
