One micron is one unit. You can spin five and a half turns to try. You need to buy a paint thickness gauge for about a few dozen dollars. They need to be used together. After each adjustment, use the thickness gauge to make accurate adjustment.

Q: I have purchased the futt ktq-11. it arrived with out calibration instructions (are the dials calibrated in microns?). is one full revolution = to 50

The unit is 1 micron. Need to cooperate with the digital thickness gauge to calibrate the unit. It is set to 0 at the factory.
