If Godinger won't help you, you will probably need to look for a welder or a silversmith. Try a local trade school and see if they have any suggestions or went to use your item for a project. The other thing you could try is to epoxy it on yourself with JB Weld. That stuff binds anything together.

How do you clean this piece and not ruin the finish? (It is not like the other shakers; the silver/chrome finish is weird).

I rinse with water really good and then rinse with vodka.
