Works great on my Home Patrol Scanner

I originally got this for my Whistler TRX-2 scanner for my truck, but ended up using the antenna indoors for the same scanner. I don't care what anyone says, this is a great little scanning antenna. I am reaching agencies across the county and I don't even have the wire unspooled or near a window.I might move it over to my truck soon and keep the antenna out of the way of my view when driving!

While I can get ‘some’ frequencies with this antenna, it certainly is not big enough to capture very many signals unless they are close.

This is one of those "I wish I had that with me" devices. The manufacturing is above average. The coax is marked but too tiny for my old eyes to read. The antenna is basically two rubber ducks mounted as a dipole configuration. No doubt it has a serious loss on receive, but with relatively high power transmitters for police and fire local transmitters or the local repeater, its still good enough for most scanners. This is not a DX antenna. Its a simple quick monitoring antenna you can stick on your bookshelf and hear local signals. If that's what you need this is a great answer. It's small enough to hide almost anywhere, like the back of the book case or on a car window, and easy to polarize vertically or horizontally. I will add several of these to the shack for local monitoring.

I purchased 5 different BNC antenna's for my scanner and got this one for my car, but the reception strength is not very clear. It picks up the local frequencies but has a lot of static. Overall it does get signal just not the best strength. For the price its not bad.

Would not pick up anything at all. Looks cool and all, but total junk. Don't even bother. I sent back for refund.

Very small and compact but seems to pickup with strength, overall pretty good buy, I do recommend this for sure.

It's very handy if you want to monitor a scanner when on the road. Just stick it on the back window and does quite well.
