Nice frames, nice fit; folding feature just a bonus
Love the shape of the frames. I had actually tried these on at a store in the mall before buying them, because I'm kind of picky with frames, and I have to try on a lot usually before finding a pair that I think looks good on my face and that can work for different styles. The hinges on the frames I received are just a little looser than the ones in the store that I tried on, so the arm sometimes folds in a little if I take them off and put one of arms on the neck of my shirt. I have actually thought briefly a couple of times that I could easily just take a tiny little screwdriver to it to tighten them up, it's just not that big of a deal to me so I guess I have been too lazy to put forth that effort!I get lots of compliments on the style. I like they way they rest on my face and ears. I also like that these are a Wayfarer styles but they ARE a unique wayfarer. They are not the same as either the classic or the new wayfarer, but as far as I have seen, are their own frame separate form any of the other wayfarers. I used to have another less common wayfarer style that were stolen and I was SUPER bummed. So many people wear the wayfarers now that I like still being able to rock RayBans but sporting a more personal/unique style.I still have the case from my old raybans so must of the time I put these in there (without folding them up, obviously), but there have been a couple of times, going to a wedding or event that I want to carry a small clutch and not my big purse, so having the little case these fold into has been nice.Overall have been really happy with these, they came at a good price (better than I would've gotten at a retailer).

seriously good sunglasses
I started using Ray-Ban folding wayfarers over 20 years ago and haven't used anything else since. The folding design is great for being able to carry and stash them more easily, and it seems to make the frames less likely to suffer some of the types of damage that glasses with fewer points of flexibility are likely to suffer. The folding design seems to make them fit around a head more comfortably, too. The folding frames are especially great for hiking and backpacking, but they do just fine anywhere else, too. The relatively large lenses are superb for keeping sun, wind, and grit out of your eyes, and they're large enough to protect most peripheral vision. I've used both polarized and regular lenses and like both. Regular lenses are a bit easier to keep clean, but there's no question that polarizing brings out depth, color, and detail in sky, clouds, water, and reflecting surfaces that regular lenses can't. For driving or being around water in sunny conditions, polarized lenses are unbeatable. The pair I ordered came from Sunglass Express: they arrived quickly, in perfect condition, and were a very good price.

Classic
This is the third pair of this exact same sunglasses that my husband has had over the last 15 years. He keeps going back for the same pair because he loves them so much. Inevitably, after five or so years, he miss places or scratches them. That being said, they are very durable, super classy, Can’t go wrong with this style. It’s also super cool, how they fold up!

Different Styles on the 54mm? Thicker bridge?
Got mine from Sunglasses Express. Box was scuffed and had obviously been opened and one point, which was strange (stickers ripped, etc.) Sunglasses inside were in new condition however, and accessories still sealed. The folding is cool and the glass is clear. However, I've worn (knock-off) Wayfarers in the past and thought they looked good. I put these on and thought that they had a weird old man/blue blocker quality to them: the bridge seemed very flat compared to the glasses. I thought that it was because they were black with black lenses and in the bathroom light it was hard to see details. I just looked on many sites to compare the style and I was right: the bridge is different and thicker. The middle of the bridge where the folds meet is above the screws; in all pictures is it below the screws. I admit that this difference is TINY, and is probably a mm more in thickness. It was the first thing I noticed, and i noticed it right away. It might be that perhaps the 54mm model is larger, but on Ray Ban's site I could only find pictures of the original. I don't think these are fraudulent (ray ban on the glass is etched, accessories and case are quality, build quality is good, logo is sunken into the frame, etc). However, the extra thickness is a little weird. I have a pair of the polarized ones coming in the mail (also 54mm) to compare which glass I prefer, and I guess will have to take a look at those. If anyone has any insight into this, please comment. I uploaded some pics so you can decide whether or not I am wrong. Edit: I had said that they stick out from the case. That's not true if you put them in more carefully.Edit: looking at pictures of the other colors, it appears there is a slight bump (look at the green ones with the crazy orange lenses. you can see the dude taking pics). Whatever. The product is a good product, I like the folding and it seems solid but they've only been in my hands for 3 hours. I've been trying to figure out the bump thing now so I have a headache. I hope this review is helpful.
