Being from the UK I'd never heard of these but after trying it out I'm very impressed.

Such an amazing thing to have! Too bad I haven’t heard about it earlier. Thinking of buying another one so I have one for salted butter as well. I saw in some reviews that it holds a pack of butter, actually it holds 125 g (half a pack)

Works very well. The butter lasts ages and is always at the right consistency.

I was disappointed to find that the lid doesn't fit flush to the base properly and is slightly warped round the rim of the lid. Little flies can get in. An expensive product when it works. A disappointment when paying good money for something not well made. A great concept for keeping butter out of the fridge though. Just wish it worked better!

Our microwave bit the dust and a replacement took 4 weeks. We missed softened butter. Then I discovered this gem. We have our new microwave but LOVE having perfectly softened butter always at the ready. I will confess, I wanted a second container so that I would never run out of butter but I saved $8.76 with a competitor, Sweese Butter Dish. I’m on the west coast. The Sweese I purchased is for a larger stick of butter and has a mark inside to indicate how much water to add. The cost savings, water mark and larger capacity is great. BUT the Butter Bell is higher quality porcelain so there is that. Either is a good choice. Buy one, it’s the little things in life.

I purchased this product after I was at a family members home and they SWORE by it. My current butter dish was messing and allowed for the butter to become too soft or too hard depending on the temperature in the house. So… why not give this a try! I purchased it and added 1/3 cup cold water and my stick of butter. I went to use it the next morning and my butter was spreadable and didn’t not have any water lingering on the butter. Which I thought was going to happen. I would recommend the product if you are sick of a messy butter dish and hard butter!

So much nicer than having a stick of butter sitting on a paper plate! Had never known you could keep your butter out for a week until my niece told me. Never knew this product existed. Did a search for butter containers never knowing the term "butter bell". I LOVE this thing. All 4 of our boys will be getting one for Christmas. Oooops. Make that 3. One of them and his family are vegan. Will it work for that? Who knows? Love always having soft, spreadable butter on hand. Oh, and it's small and pretty and doesn't take up a lot of room on my countertop.
