I have been using CHS Curl Keeper for several years. My hair is Type 2 A/B on top and 3A on the rest. The individual hairs are fine, but I have a LOT of it, and it turned white when I was a teenager so it is color treated.I use CK as part of a cocktail including a hard hold gel and a curl activator. What makes it different is that it is not a fussy product - I cannot use too much of it. It never flakes and all I have to do to eliminate the crunchy cast is scrunch it out, then my hair is soft, defined, shiny (without looking wet) and frizz-free. It has also never made my scalp itch..lots of other products do. The only thing I could criticize is that it has the potential to be ever so slightly drying, however, this isn’t a problem with proper conditioning beforehand and if needed, a leave-in conditioner.This is not a gel that’s meant to provide hold - it has none. It has a watery consistency (like KY lube-also a dupe for this gel) and can be used alone or as a companion to gel and curl cream. It plays nicely with any other product you throw into the mix. It is not heavy, greasy, sticky or producty - once dry, you cannot feel it in your hair.I swear by this product and would go so far as calling it holy grail. I have tried MANY other things over the years but have failed to find anything that keeps the shrub on my head under control. What’s more is that it is designed for ALL curl types, 2-4...and it’s silicone free so it is Curly Girl Method approved.

Since embracing my curls instead of fighting them I think I have tried nearly every curl product out there and spent a small fortune doing it! This product is the REAL DEAL! As all who have curls know, the weather plays a huge part in whether a product works or not! This is the best curl product I've ever used. It does what it says it will! Perfect now, I hope it works as it works now in the heat of the summer. As hair products go, this one is very affordable and will go a long way!

Curl without the Frizz ! Works Great !

So far. I really like it after a few weeks. It goes on like water so does not make your hair crunch. SO far it really works on my curls and controls my hair. still some frizz that I have to use a little oil for because I have very frizzy hair, but so far so good. I definitely recommend at least trying out the smallest size to see if it works for you.

I bought this from a recommendation in a beauty reel. I have thin fine hair that is long. Added on top, my hair is showing my 54 yrs a little. I have some natural wave, but because of my texture, it is easily lost. I also have trouble with too much product weighing my hair down more and looking and feeling goofy.This does not do that at all. I use a nice squirt in the palm of my hand and run through my damp hair and scrunch. Sometimes I use a dryer with diffuser, others just air dry. It gives my hair so much life and helps hold my fragile waves without the crunchy, goopy feel.

I have curly hair and have used many products. This one is not my favorite. It works, but when my hair dries it is still frizzy. Even with using gel. A little high price point for not working as well as I thought it would. Very thin serum.

Great product. Defines curls, removes frizz adds shine.

This was terrible for my fine wavy/curly hair. I washed my hair, applied when wet and air dried. It made some stringy clumps and I thought my hair looked dirty. It took forever to dry and once dry the ends were stuck together. The smell was not great. I feel like it was a waste of money. Wish I could return this product. I get better results at half the price from chain stores.
