I normally wear a medium, but I ordered a large to be safe. I am 5'8" tall and weigh 128 lbs. short torso long legs. Lol Just giving you stats so you can order the right fit. I could have easily ordered a medium. This dress is true to size. Since it had the wide belt it was no problem it was a little big on me. I think because it is a stretchy material bustier women would be fine. So order the size you normally would. The material is thick. It does not feel cheap. All seams are with a serger. I did not have to wear a slip, the material is thick so you cant see through it. Glad! The dress hit me right at the knee it was perfect. It flowed and swung just like a swing dress should. I loved wearing it to the 50s themed party. The belt is wide and long so you can tie jt in a bow. I chose to tie it on my side and up a bit from whwre my waist is. But you can do whatever you want. Oh! It does not smell when you get it. It comes folded up very small. All I had to do was reiron it. It has a nice bit of starch on it. I did iron the collar to my liking. It was up to high for me. I washed it on gentle the next day and hung it to dry. It washed fine. It needs ironed now, its not bad wrinkly but it needs starched again. Lol So I am glad I didnt wash it beforehand otherwise I would have had to iron it before the party. I got it the day of the party so you can imagine my excitement that it all worked out. And I will wear this dress again. $20 and on prime, WELL spent!

I bought this dress to wear to Disney and it was amazing! I got so many compliments on it and it was very comfortable. I’m about 5’7 160 lbs and I ordered a medium. It fit comfortably and you can adjust the bow if you’d like. I love it so much I plan on buying a couple more in various colors.

I have a 57' chevy golf cart and it's fun to dress up when i ride around in it.... I will wear this with white bobby socks and saddle shoes or white keds. I have lots of fun accessories - probably will wear it with my white scarf tied around my pony tail and cat eye sunglasses. It's really about fun. About sizing... I am 5'8"... 38DDD and usually wear a 14/16 or 0x/1x. I read other reviews and decided to size up to an 18. I feel that was a good choice, especially in terms of length. There is a left side zipper, however, I am easily able to pull it over my head without using the zipper at all. The arms are VERY comfortable, NOT tight at all. The material is stiff and starchy - which is good. Helps it to keep it's shape. BONUS: It is stretchy! There is a wide tie-on belt included. The collar stands up and is a little odd... but will work. NO pockets. The top wraps across your chest but it is not a wrap around dress... I like that that it is very modest. NO cleavage showing. The dress falls well below my knees - to what I consider the perfect length for this type of dress... ALSO... I did buy and am wearing a full petticoat under the skirt. There are many to choose from, I chose white and the xl worked perfectly. This really doesn't look like a true 50's retro dress, but it's close and it cute. The red is a very slightly orange red.. and the dots are bright white and large. (See pics I have included) This is really a "costume" but it the quality of the material and shape is such I believe with proper care, it will last a very long time. My inclination is to take it to the dry cleaners to be sure it is properly starched and pressed. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seems useful. Not bad!! This dress was for my Halloween costume in New Orleans this year. It was pretty comfy, and did not wrinkle in my suitcase. It was perfect for the look I was going for; Lucille Ball for Halloween.

I'm 5'3 125 pounds and I got the large. it fits loose around the waist but it's okay because the dress sits right on the knees. I suggest getting a size bigger if you want it to sit right on the knees as well. If I would have gotten the medium the dress would fit perfect but it would have sat above my knees. The dress is made well, good material - not cheap.

This dress fits perfectly and is well made. I purchased it as a Halloween costume (Minnie Mouse) in the red with larger white polka dots. The fabric is stretchy so it holds its shape really well. Waist fits right under ribcage at natural waist - just like a vintage dress should - if you are expecting a modern fit with a lower waist this may be surprising and appear short to you.I am 5ft 5inches tall, 34 DD breast and weigh 140lbs. I measured against the size chart provided in the photos and ordered the large (8/10). The way that the dress is cut and stretches (same amount of stretch you typically find in a lot of jeans today) it accommodates a larger bust size just fine. Arms and waist fit perfectly. Love the belt as well. The dress hem is a little lower than knee length / right below the knee and does dip a little lower on the back that I couldn't see in the pictures but I love it. I added a white petticoat and it adds just the right amount of lift to this dress. Looks fabulous.

This dress is really a good choice! We bought it for a 50s choir concert, but honestly it's a flattering style that would work as a choice for everyday style. The quality, both fabric and construction, is GREAT. Especially for the price!My daughter is a pretty petite but curvy size 8 (she's 5'3" and tiny through the middle - length and huge waists are an issue in anything that fits her bust and hips properly), and a Large fit perfectly! The sash does a lot to customize the fit; it's sturdy and wide so it doesn't look chintzy.We added a petticoat, also from Amazon (Women's 50s Vintage Rockabilly Petticoat, 26" Length Slip Tutu Underskirts. We bought a Large, but FYI a Medium would have been better), and it was just fluffy swirly goodness!We chose black & white dots, but we also saw the red and white dots on another girl at the concert, and it was just as cute!Solid choice for a 50s look, or just as a flattering dress for any occasion!
