Great Tool
Excellent basic smart phone. If you are into the name brand, "next best thing", this is not for you. The touch can lag slightly, it doesn't do well with downloadable apps, you need a micro sd card to use the music feature, it could be organized better and more customizable etc. However, it texts quickly with the keyboard, it is solid, it has been helpful for writing (I'm a poet and don't always have paper around) , it has excellent sound for phone calls, it has useful tools (the standard clock with alarm, stopwatch, world clock, tip calculator, calculator, unit convertor, notepad, etc), it keeps info of your contacts. It is not a toy, it is a tool that happens to be a bit fun, especially as someone who only buys phones that can be paid for all at once. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a real phone.

Good phone
Had to get a sim card adapter to use the card from my previous phone, but with a little bit of careful "adapting" to the sim card that was too thick for the adapter, everything works great.....and I did not want to commit murder while dealing with the tecs at AT&T who activate the cards that come with the phone. Love it!!! It's a really good "basic" phone, though it still has way more "crap" involved than what I need or use. I want to answer/make phone calls, answer/make texts; period. Forget the other BS that AT&T thinks I "have to " have to live in this world. I have a desktop for the internet; don't need to browse the web, and under the most bored or circumstances, would not amuse myself with all the aps that show up on the screen. Certainly will not do any business with my bank.Wake up AT&T; you think I'm not going with the flow, and I think you're some of the pushiest people I've ever seen. Set up these phones so we can down load the aps if we WANT to; don't throw them in our faces and try to make us use themSorry; done with my soapbox. Love this phone...except for the extra aps. :-) et

Not as advertised...
This phone, on the surface looks like a real bargain, yes, the price is very appealing. But--no one can tell me why the camera activates at random when I try to unlock the screen, or how annoying the screen lock is when you need to answer a call on your car's bluetooth hands free mode. Or why it will not receive email, photos attached to text messages, or connect with the web on Consumer Cellular's network (which happens to be AT&T), even though my carrier and I have spent hours trying everything possible and I am paying for data services that I cannot use.It is advertised as a smart phone, but it simply isn't. A word to the wise, it works as a phone, the calendar alarm feature is lousy, and it is not as advertised. The access port cover to charge the phone is one of the most poorly designed/engineered that I have seen. It would be nice if the instruction/user manual was actually written by someone who can actually document how to use all the features, because it is vague to say the least.

Non "Smart" phone, for no-nonsense people
After owning an iPhone, and deciding life would be simpler and cheaper without one, I went back to a pure talking-texting phone. The LG Xpression is simple and functional.I do NOT have skinny/pointy fingers, so the pullout keyboard was a must. I HATED the iPhone's touchscreen keyboard!!! iPhone letters are too small and I would always end up pushing a letter I didn't want to push. The Xpression's keyboard is a godsend for my clumsy fingers and I never have an issue texting. The touchscreen works fine (not as fast as an iPhone, but it really doesn't need to be), the phonebook and calendar functions allow for plenty of data and reminders, and the phone calls themselves are clear. You can download music and games, but I never used those functions on an iPhone, so I wouldn't use it on this phone anyway. There are only two downsides to this phone.1. Size: The Xpression is compact, but the keyboard makes it a little thick (granted it still fits in a pocket easy enough). It just isn't as "thin" as an iPhone or droid.2. Poor Camera: The on-board camera is obviously not close to the latest and greatest; however, I carry around a full-time camera (DSLR or Sony Cybershot) anyway, so for me, it is not an issue. If you find yourself not using the "Smart" applications of your "Smart" phone, or just want something cheap and simple, the LG Xpression is a nice alternative that keeps your eyes where they should be… looking up at the world.

Doesn't work for consumer cellular, but the phone is nice
I had ordered this phone once before and figured it must not have been unlocked due to a SIM card and unavailable service error I had gotten after trying to make a call. While consumer cellular's site does confirm this phone will work with their network the truth is it will not. The seller reached out to me multiple times after returning the first one I bought and let me know that the problem may have been with the network. Though this phone works with GSM and CC is on that network themselves, some carriers no longer support 3G phones and the seller let me know that might be the culprit. I returned the first phone and received another today to test and sure enough, same issue. So I wanted to give 5 stars because this seller is awesome for going out of their way to explain things to me and I do really like this phone, though I'm pretty bummed it won't work for me.
