These winter hats were made for Soviet soldiers to keep their heads warm even during the coldest days of Siberian winters. There are 3 layers of materials to achieve the utmost in warmth for the coolest temps: Wool top adds extra warmth & acts as water resistant shell: once wet it becomes almost impenetrable to water. Even under light rain Soviet Army soldier's heads stayed dry & warm. Cotton lining is padded with thick layers of cotton. Thick & soft 50% wool 50% artificial fur keeps the ears & neck warm. For your convenience an insignia will come attached to the hat. Sizes available are Small ( 56 cm) Medium (58 cm), 60 (cm) and 62 cm are very rare cost more for us to buy hence the higher price. The badge is miss aligned and not centered properly. Overall quality of these hats isn't the best.

It's the real deal, super heavy duty and well made!!
I was glad to find the largest size made, #62, in stock to fit my oversize cranium. Unexpectedly the badge came pre-attached. That saved me the trouble of punching a hole and attaching it myself. With reasonable care this ushanka will last a very long time thanks to its heavy duty materials & construction.
