Going Down Hard (The Lucas Cousins Book 1) Kindle Edition

This novella is the start of a new series which throws us into the world of Casey and Gavin. They had gone to high school together back in the day where Casey had a huge crush on Gavin, where Gavin had no idea who Casey was. They did, however, share a very brief moment on prom night, and then met again by chance twelve years later.With all that being said, in spite of the cute and sometimes funny moments, the plot of the story itself was very predictable and I felt like I had read it many times before. There were also just too many life altering moments condensed in only one week. But I did enjoy Jordan Marie's delivery of it, and would definitely read the following books in the series.

I usually avoid novellas because I know I will be disappointed by the length and want more of the story, unfortunately that was not the case this time. I had a hard time getting through it and almost did not finish. I love Casey; she is strong and fierce and deserves someone much better than Gavin. I cannot stand Gavin. I wanted to love him, but could not get past his remeet with Casey or how he ordered his coffee (he could have at least told Aden to hold on). He is arrogant, not in the sexy way, and seemed to expect Casey to just fall down at his feet. He interrupted her every time she tried to protest something. He could have at least heard her out then convinced her. Casey is such a strong, independent woman I was disappointed with how easily she took him back. If this had been a full length novel and Gavin had time to grow (or at least grow on me) I think this book would have been much better. Besides Casey, I loved White's cameo. That was a very nice tie in with the Lucas Brothers series.

I am a huge huge HUGE fan of Jordan's. Whenever she has a new book out my finger just happens to one-click it. Casey and Gavin, what a couple. Casey has loves Gavin since high school. He never knew she existed. When a chance encounter happened and she gave him sound advice we jump to years later and another chance meeting. I loved how Gavin never really forgot about Casey, his Moth-girl. As their friendship grows so does their love for one another. But Gavin has a secret that could blow up what he has with Casey.I loves this book. I laughed, i smiled, my heart felt like it had butterfly wings. I even ugly cried. Jordan's books always have a way of getting me out of a book funk. I end up rereading her books to the point I know them word for word. They are that good. She never leaves you in a dead air situation. They flow perfectly to the point were you are just like wait its done. I can't wait for the book in this series. Jordan you have another hit on your hands. Thank you for doing what you do.

Great second chance romance that will leave you salivating for the next one in what will turn out to be a series that you could read over and over again. Casey to me is your typical high school girl when the book starts off who has a crush on the star athlete (Gavin) but he never seems to notice her until the final dance which leaves her with memories to last a lifetime. Fast forward they bump into each other and it takes Gavin running into her twice before he realizes who she is. He's smitten but she still has unresolved issues in her head that prevents her from breaking down her walls. Too bad Gavin know what he wants and stops at nothing to get it. I loved this book the characters are relatable and the storyline was hilariously funny and leads us into book 2 which I am most definitely looking forward too. This is a book you don't want to miss SO PICK IT UP its worth it!!!!

I’m going to ask again, and I’m seriously asking this....DOES JORDAN MARIE EVER WRITE A BAD BOOK? I have read so many of her books, and I’ve never read one I didn’t love...Maybe it’s just that she writes the kinds of books I love to read...Maybe she’s just not capable of writing a stinker....Maybe she’s some kind of genius.....Whatever the answer is, GOING DOWN HARD, the first book in the DOING BAD THINGS DUET is FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC, and I can’t wait for BOOK 2; IN TOO DEEP....❤️🌼🔥It’s a different love story with such hot chemistry between the characters, I changed tablets at one point....I just wasn’t sure my kindle could take the heat...🔥❤️🌼This book wasn’t too long and it wasn’t too short...just like Goldilocks, it was JUST RIGHT!!! You have plenty of time to read GOING DOWN HARD (which is free right now, I might add) before IN TOO DEEP Releases October 17th....Don’t miss this duet...No,It’s true, I haven’t read IN TOO DEEP, yet, but it Book 2of the DOING BAD THINGS DUET and it’s written by JORDAN MARIE....I can guarantee it will be a good one too.....Her book covers, alone, make me want to read them...❤️🌼🔥

The only highlight of her teenage existence is the night Gavin O’Leary spoke to her and mildly flirted with her. But that's all behind her because now she's a confident self assured grown up….right? When she quite literally runs into her teenage dream 12 years later it seems that finally she has removed her invisibility cloak, but old neurosis run deep. Gavin was the golden boy as a teen, with everyone in his life assured he would be a star. A brief but meaningful encounter with a mystery girl lead him to following his dreams and that path set him on an actually colliding course with her years later. Casey can't see what he sees when he looks at her. This beautiful, smart, and sexy woman has no idea the web she weaves, but he would be a fool to let her get away a second time.

This novella was amazing. I just adore Jordan's writing.The story sets the pace nicely for what I'm sure will be a fantastic new series. I'm already hooked and eager for more. There's some interesting new characters I'm itching to know more about.Casey Langley was just an ordinary school girl. Nothing special not one of the in crowd just a nameless girl that no one really paid attention to.Gavin O'Leary is a popular guy the one every girl wanted but never stood a chance. Casey had been no exception she'd been secretly in love with the guy for years but he never knew she existed.12 years later a chance encounter brings them together.Gavin does remember the girl with the red hair. This time he intends to get to know her a lot better, she just doesn't know it yet.I loved these two they made me laugh my Ass off. Casey isn't a push over and I liked her for that.Gavin is just hot as hell and he has the sexy cockiness we all love in abundance.Jordan's writing makes me happy. She has a wicked sense of humour and a dirty mind. The perfect combination for an Author. I always know I'm in for a treat with her books.I certainly was with this one.

I adored this short read by Jordan Marie!It was humorous, sexy and sweet. Gavin and Casey run into each other (quite literally) almost 12 years after leaving high school where Gavin was your typical popular shining star and Casey was somewhat of a wallflower. This time around Gavin can't keep his eyes off Casey or ignore their blossoming connection.5 stars from me ✴✴✴✴✴ and I loved the sneak peak of Aden and Hope's book!

Short novella. Was OK for a free read but hasn't made me want to read the others in the series.Very predictable..he's always worn a condom with previous lovers but wants to go bare first time with heroine blah, blah, blah.I found it annoying she called him Dude and he called her Moth-girl.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are really likable and I really enjoy it when you get the thoughts from both of the main characters point's of view. Funny, sad, sexy. Also helps that the lead female isn't a stick insect, it made it easier for me to relate to and another reason I enjoyed this book.

Amazing book once again a love caseys attitude fiesty woman and Gavin and her relationship is wow unreal loved it can wait for the new book Jordan your amazing author one of my favorites you amaze me all the time with each book and with each book you give me book hangover and takes me ages to find a book as good as yours love you hun :)
