Authentic hard wood. Beautifully designed. Using a cushion would be helpful.I docked 1 star because one of the chairs was received in damaged condition.

GOOD PRODUCT, PATHETIC DELIVERY
Looks great, just as advertised. Solid wood adds a wonderful old world charm to my house. The DELIVERY by RIVIGO was DISMAL, PATHETIC at the least.CONs are the sellers delivery time (took more than a month), response time and choice of delivery mode.
