Working great so far.
I have had this winch for a month now. Took a bit to get the modifications done to get it mounted to my GMC. The bolting hardware included is 8.8 metric grade. Once I got the winch on, it was up to the mountains. This winch has been used used for pulling downed trees from the forest. The trees are going for a log cabin and they are not very small. So far over one weekend I pulled ten trees out. I would guestimate that the trees range about 3k - 5k pounds each as indicated by the movement of my vehicle during the pull. I have a GMC Yukon, loaded with gear, and at times the truck was dragged up the hill when the log would catch on boulders or other trees. I could hear and see the load the winch was taking but it kept doing its job. Most of these pulls were done at the max range of the cable, (No less than 5 wraps of cable left on spool), and the winch did fine. I think it is expected that a unit may get warm, as mine did, but I did not have any problems. The winch was allowed to cool down between logs as I had to cut the next one down. I like the remote handle, simple and durable. I did a lot of work in the rain and there have been no issues with moisture. Good unit.

Works great on my Tacoma with ARB bumper
I installed this a few months ago and it has worked great. My truck had a 25+ year old Warn M8000 on it and I decided to buy this one rather than rebuild the Warn (I'll save that for a later project). I have not needed it for self-recovery (yet), but have used it extensively for pulling out trees and moving a large shed around. The motor pulls nice and feels solid. I opted for the synthetic line to save some weight and it has been much easier to work with than the steel cable, you just have to be aware of where it will run to make sure it won't rub on anything. I mounted the winch on an ARB bumper on my Gen 1 Tacoma. This required me to move the solenoid pack to a different spot, which took a little work and another $60 for all the 4ga cable and connectors, but I am really happy with the way it turned out. I also had to remove all the allen bolts (temporarily, of course) on the planetary gear assembly so I could rotate the free spool handle around to the access hole, which was really easy and not a big deal at all. I really like the self-contained solenoid pack compared to what Warn has and will probably use one when I get around to rebuilding the old M8000.

Great Value, Good Quality
This is my second Superwinch. I like them because you can easily clock the clutch lever 180 degrees. Remote mounting the solenoid is also easy. The winch is reliable and is well made. Owned now by Westin. Product I got was complete, well packaged and works perfectly.

Awesome winch for a Grizzly 660 or any ATV
Awesome little winch! I put this on a superwinch mounting plate on my 2006 Yamaha Grizzly 660 and it worked perfectly! I mounted the control box in the storage compartment under the rear seat. I mounted it upside down (with the plugs facing down) cause I knew I would get it wet and I wanted the water to drip off the plugs in that case. MAKE SURE to put dielectric grease on all your electrical connections if you think you'll be getting them wet. This will help protect against corrosion!I wired up the thumb switch on the handlebar and it worked great. I decided not to install the remote as it would simply get in the way. I tied in the power on/off sensor to the red wire that runs directly out of the key switch on my atv. (this is NOT your power source, the red wire I'm referring to is the wire that tells the winch whether the atv is on or off, that way your winch isn't drawing power if the ATV is off)Overall I've been very pleased. I've used this winch to get myself and other ATV's unstuck many times without an issue. Be sure to spray the winch cable with WD40 or another lubricant as often as you can to extend the longevity of the winch and cable itself.

Awesome budget winch
I've been using this winch a few times a month for at least a year now and it has never disappointed me. Pulling out my Jeep, friends' trucks, downed trees, whatever I throw at this winch, it's up for the challenge. It is very resilient to the harsh salt/sand conditions here on the Gulf coast. Line speed is a little slow but not terrible. Very easy to use. It has never overheated or failed in any way, even after sinking it underwater in creeks and swamps. Do yourself a favor and buy some accessories like a snatch block and tree saver. It's a great option for those who don't want to spend a thousand dollars on a Warn but still want dependable performance.

Top quality winch for a fraction of the cost compared to another named brand winch.
Why pay more for another product just because of the name. This company has been making winches for a very long time for the Military, industry and for the recreational ATV off road enthusiast. East to install. Big bonus for the great price was getting the synthetic line. Highly recommend.
