Flattering, effective, economical
This shirt is feminine and practical. I wear it over a tank top with shorts or a skirt to protect my skin from sun exposure. One reviewer said something like, "this is not a just man's shir in a smaller size". I agree. The cut is flattering to the female form. I bought the shirt in white and liked it so much that I bought a second in orchid haze. I am 5'3" and the shirt comes down about 2/3 of the way of my rear end. I am an athletic 125 lbs and my measurements are 35-27-35. According to the White Sierra size chart (which one can easily find online) I would wear a size small. The small fits me just fine. It is comfortable over a tank top or tee-shirt with plenty of room for full mobility. That is, when buttoned, I can move my arms in all directions without the buttons pulling. I wore it to the beach the other day and sat out for a while. Only my legs which were exposed got some color, but my upper body, protected by the shirt, was unaffected. I recommend this shirt to any woman who is looking for a reasonably priced, well-made and flattering, sun protection shirt.

NOT FOR HOT WEATHER! It does NOT wick away moisture nor does it breathe.
While the fit is fine, this shirt is NOT for HOT WEATHER. We took a trip to a dry 100 degree temperature every day for four days and this shirt neither breaths or wicks. I was sweltering while wearing the two different colors of this shirt I purchased. Wish I had never purchased these.

Different fit from different colors
If you find that the fit is close but not quite right, then try a different color in the same shirt. Example: the yellow shirt is made in Vietnam and the front zip pocket runs horizontally (too shallow to fit much other than keys), while the peri-blue shirt is made in Bangladesh and its zip pocket runs vertically. I prefer a loose fit, but on me the yellow shirt was too baggy and I returned it while the periblue fit alright and I kept it. Unlike other brands of sun shirts, this one actually does allow for the sleeves to be rolled up without cutting off circulation (good). The shirt is also long enough that it does not expose your back when you bend down to tie a shoe. On a hot desert hike, I paired the mostly unbuttoned periblue shirt with a sports bra and that gave good circulation and good sun protection.

size up - worth the effort
Great shirt the only reason it did not get 5 stars is that it is really undersized. 5'2" , 130, and a size large just fit with no room for a t-shirt underneath. The French seams are very flattering - this isn't just a men's shirt made smaller for a woman.

Best field shirt yet!
Comfortable while fully buttoned with sleeves extended in 110F heat, 90+ % humidity. Vented panel in the back really helps with air circulation to prevent overheating. I don't favor wearing shirts tucked into my pants, but if worn as shown this shirt moves well when crouching, bushwhacking, climbing a tree, or wading through streams. Lightweight fabric feels silky & delicate, but hasn't snagged/run/torn when caught on thorny vines or pokey bushes (approx. 20 such encounters within 3 months). Dries fairly quickly (~20min in conditions described above), but doesn't feel heavy or sticky like cotton shirts while wet. Nice enough to wear into public places without feeling like a feral woodland creature even after 8+ hours in the field. This isn't a detractor for me, but I have noticed that sunscreen leaves unsightly grease spots if I get it directly on the shirt. They wash out just fine, and it's only a problem if I try to apply sunscreen after I'm dressed (tricky maneuver, prone to sloppy application you can imagine). Simply wearing sunscreen doesn't cause a problem, even if sweating/wet in the water, only happens if a glob on my hand misses my shoulder or neck & ends up on the shirt. Cotton shirts may hide stains better, but they take forever to dry and weigh you down throughout the day.

Best quick-dry shirt in my closet!
As a person who spends a large amount of time outdoors, I am often in need of quick dry, moisture wicking clothing. There are so many choices out there. As far as long sleeve shirts go, this one is by far my favorite. It seems like I'm always the right temperature in this shirt, as it will take you from a chilly morning into pretty extreme heat very nicely. It dries almost instantly so perspiration won't make you feel soggy wet.To start with, I am 5' 7" and weigh an athletic 140 pounds. Bust measures 37 1/2" and waist is around 30". The medium in this shirt fits me perfectly (I often wear a size Small in shirts so I think this one runs a tad small). My favorite thing about this shirt is that it has extra room across the shoulders and the arms are not tight. The shirt is more fitted through the waist and hips. It is made for a more athletic shape. If you are busty or are very shapely in the hips, you may have to order up a size or two.To my happy surprise, White Sierra finally...FINALLY made this shirt in some bright pretty jewel tone colors rather than just in the super pale pastels that were available in the past. The fabric is super thin...but not see-through, and it's seems to breath well and dry super fast. It also is resistant to wrinkles and stains.I have this shirt in 5 different colors (yes, I like it that much). It's ideal for travel.

White Sierra Longsleeve Shirt
Love this brand. I am a wildlife biologist so I work outside a lot and having a long sleeve, lightweight shirt does wonders in the desert. The material is so thin and lightweight, and yet it is very strong. I have torn shirts like this one before, but I just sew them up and they still work equally great. I have used shirts from this brand the last four years of daily wear and the only thing that I noticed is the colors fade while working outside all the time. I recommend these shirts to everyone; they are truly amazing!

Great travel shirt
This is a wonderful shirt for travel. It has a feminine fit, and is lightweight and comfortable for outdoor activities involved with travel where one is doing a good deal of walking and climbing. I wore the sleeves rolled up most of the time, sometimes with a vest or jacket. The color is beautiful and flattering. I liked the shirt so much that I bought another in a different color.
