The print is horrible. The book is basically a photocopy of the original print. The letters are bleeding.Don’t buy this version.

Undroppable to the end!!
The Concubine is a beautiful romance that ends tragically. Readers will fall in love with amazing characters like Ekwueme and Wakiri the Wag! I love this book so much - the plot, the setting and the writer's beautiful writing craft is endearing and captivating. A brilliant read worth its 5 stars!!

Good story
It's 5 stars for the well written tale of life in Eastern Nigeria - both physical and spiritual elements. The cover is beautiful, but the printing is very poor. Hence only 4 stars.

I so love this classic novel
I so love this classic novel, it was so interesting and captivating. However, I was a bit saddened by the tragic end of this outstanding book, I think the end could been more in depth. Nevertheless, this was a very classic book and reflects the heritage of African culture.
