Q: Has anyone used this for hanging running medals?

I don't see why you couldn't. I use it to hang various sets of keys.

Q: Would you recommend this for hanging bath towels on? would towels fit on hooks without falling off easily? would i have to worry abour rust? thanks

It is made for keys, but I do not see why you couldn't use it for towels. The arms do not stick out like a normal towel hook and may not have the tilt to hold a towel though. This piece is made of aluminum so it may rust in time.

Q: Has anyone tried mounting this without screws? It looks like it might be hollow and difficult to hang with something like scotch mounting tape.

I don't think that would work. It's metal and is probably too heavy. It is also hollow. You may be able to hang a string through the screw holes and hang it on one of those removable stick on hook things. Good luck

China. It is aluminum, which does not have heavy metal content.
