TATTU D3 Heavy-Duty Tactical 3-Cell D LED Torch, Black

This torch is a great alternative to the more expensive and traditional mag light with the addition of a rather clever ridged edge on the top and bottom. The light throw is great with lots of adjustment for a wide throw or condensed beam. Honestly has more brightness than I would ever need. It’s a nice heavy piece of kit, the battery’s being large add to the weight and last ages. In the UK we aren’t allowed to carry anything specifically as any kind and f weapon for self defence but if you were looking for a torch that heavy enough and strong enough to protect yourself with this is a great choice. The ridged edges are also very useful if needed to break a window in emergency making it way easier to break glass with it. The strobe option is also a great distraction or emergency function, it would honestly blind someone if they were for example heading towards you and you wanted to give yourself time to regroup or get away. So all in all a great torch that is very reasonable to have in your car for emergencies that could be useful in a sticky situation. 😊👍

Very good for its price and good quality

Seems well made and emits a good strong beam of light, but a little lighter in weight than I was expecting! I was hoping for that sense of confidence that you get from a sturdy maglight construction, but other than that it’s good enough!

I was hesitating if this one, with the three D size batteries will be the right size for home. I was thinking of the 4 or an other brand 6 batteries model. Just in case if I get spooked in the dark.I think this size is adequate indoor, in narrow spaces. If it would be bigger, you could not maneuver easily and the torch would become an obstacle instead of help.The light is bright enough, I don't want to replace a lighthouse, just see in the dark.It emits plenty of lights.After you switch it on, you can press the on-off switch half way momentarily and you can change the 100% brightness to 50% and to strobe.The strobe could temporarily blind anybody, so be careful with that.I bought rechargeable D size batteries and it works nice with them. I expect the battery life to be excellent. (3x1.2V=3.6V, 10Ah cells makes about 36Wh, so if it is 6W LED on max brightness, we would discharge the batteries in 6h.)The torch is solid and heavy. It may give you a chance in difficult situations.

Great item.very powerful for its size.

I got this for my other half, as she sometimes has to work late in a remote location, and it adds some reassurance. The beam is really bright (For all the LED torches out there at the moment, it's surprisingly rare to find one powerful enough to really compare to the old bulb torches from yesteryear!), and it casts a long distance, along with a couple of modes (flashing/lower brightness).Once the batteries are in, this is also pretty damn hefty and solid, and could offer some element of protection if the need ever arose. We're now thinking about getting a couple more for home and car!
