Great designs, poor explaining
This book is complicated for beginners. There is no color ar all. The designs would be neat if easier to understand

Making the Kindle edition work
I also have the Kindle edition, and it's a bit of work to take a screen shot of the pages I want to color in, but it's possible (at least with my iPad it is - no idea on an actual Kindle). I make a screen shot and email it as a .jpg file to myself on a regular PC, then print out the .jpg. It would be nice to see color versions of at least some of the patterns. Overall, there are tons of designs available - just takes your imagination to fill them in!

80 PAGES OF COOL DESIGNS!
It is in black and white, a minor problem for just doing the designs off the pages. But I solved that problem by coloring them in. There are 3-5 designs on most of the pages, not all really Native beadwork but well worth the price for ALL the designs for LOOMERS! It is hard anymore to find a book with so many loom ideas and this one is FILLED with them. Ther are a few small mistakes in a couple patterns but nothing worth complaining about. This is not an instruction book! Be warned you need to know how to do beadwork to use this book. Photo copy the pages so you can work on colors of your own choosing other than the ones offered if you don't like the combinations. It is a book you can get use out of for years!

The good & the bad.....
The Good:This book is great if you want a LOT of designs....55 pages of bead loom designs alone, not including the bead appliqué.It doesn't waste your time with instructions, so know how to use a bead loom!Love the variety of patterns-it has a lot of Indian beadwork patterns, that aren't all from American Indians. *more details below*The Bad/my frustrations with it:I went through coloring ALL 55 pages of the black & white patterns in this book...& wish the author had done the same. There are a multitude of errors. Some are minor, but some are major like bead color codes that either aren't on the color legend...so you don't know what to color them. You can *usually* figure it out if the color code was somewhere on the page or in the same series of designs. But sometimes you have to be a bit creative...not a problem if you desire to use different colors.Note that the title of the book is *Indian* beadwork designs. Not Native American Designs (if that's what your looking for). It has more of a Meso-American feel. Note to any "Ancient Alien" Theorist bead loomers out there...some of the depictions of people/things are seemingly not of this earth. Also, I wish there were notations on what tribe/area the designs came from. There is no source, but I'm sure that the designs are authentic because I've colored other boos with some of the same designs.Overall, mixed about the book

It was okay
I will admit that I am a little disappointed with my purchase of this book. Don't get me wrong, there are dozens of designs here enough to keep you busy for a long while. But there is no color to the pictures-yes most of them give you a color key, but it is very difficult to read on the Kindle. So, to conclude my review, I will say this: if all you are looking for is ideas, this book is definitely for you; if you want a little more "something", save your money & keep on looking. :)

The book is what I wanted. I originally ordered the kindle book. I quickly realized that the book form would be much better because you can copy patterns and fill in the colors of your choice.

This is a brilliant book to have. Lots of designs to choose from and a opportunity to add your own touches around the home. Also the book can be coloured in with your own colours to suit different materials. Great company. Fast delivery and well protected packaging. Highly recommended......
