Easy Fitment/Works Great
Put new Walker factory style/layout exhaust system on '05 Escape V6. Came time for what style clamps and didn't want to use the type of horseshoe type clamp that heavily crimps the pipe and won't let exhaust ever come apart again without cutting off. I went with these stainless 2-14" lap band clamps that work with the (factory) exhaust size or even aftermarket exhaust needed/installed for your vehicle. Just measure the outside diameter of smaller pipe that goes inside the larger pipe for the size pipe needed. Have good overlap of both pipes to hold strong, without pipes slipping apart. Will purchase and use again on all my exhaust pipes.

Great clamps
Tightens well around exhaust joints. In some applications, better than traditional exhaust clamps.

Good price.
I have a very old Hyundai Santa Fe that has exhaust problems. I refuse to pay 3K to Hyundai for a new exhaust system as it is pretty much a welded together assembly that needs to be completely replaced and no one else sells a system for this car so I just keep buying exhaust tubing and these clamps and patching it together. After 18 years of excellent service I will have to bone yard this churn on account of nothing to put an exhaust system in anymore! But it will take 4 or 5 more of these clamps before that happens. Clamps are nice thick metal and hold exhaust tubing very well.

exhaust clamps that actually seal the joint
i used them to connect new down pipes to my Flowmaster's and they worked great and sealed perfectly

Ditch the U-bolt clamps!
Wish I'd found this before using the U-bolt exhaust clamps. The U-bolt type will leak, get loose and deform the pipe and muffler spigots making it very difficult to pull apart. Even with the muffler spigots crimped by the U-bolt clamps this stepped band clamp, with a little Red Hi-Temp RTV is better and more convenient than welding. Rock solid connection of my 2.25" O.D. pipe to the 2.25" I.D. muffler outlets and no leaks. Excellent product, but the metal is thin. Seems like they will be fine and took the tightening torque but time will tell. They're stainless so they won't rust so that's a plus.

Close
The semi circle bosses (for lack of a better term) don't seat fully into the channel. I could see that after hand tightening there was light coming through. I broke out my impact gun and cinched them up further but the the heads of the bolts rounded off and the gaps didn't seal completely. The size selected was matched to the outlet of the flex coupling I bough and my exhaust, with the curved surface installed towards the pipes. There also is no lock washers and I believe the rough side of the nut is supposed to act as the retaining feature. I applied Loctite just the same. That said, the finish on the product was nice, and I do believe this is a good method for joining pipes together. It definitely reduced the exhaust leak sound substantially compared to the completely severed flew pipe I removed. I just wish the bosses set completely into the recess, and sealed the entire length. Afterwards I researched and saw that some people wrap the connection with a few layers of AL foil or applied a muffler and tail pipe sealer. I don't know if they would be long term solutions.
