Peretti Three-Pack: Prophet/Piercing the Darkness/This Present Darkness Paperback – 1 Oct. 2003

I bought these books because I remembered reading one of them when I was 12 years old and that's well over 10 years ago. I couldn't remember the author or the title but I remembered the angels. Google came in and saved the day! It takes something special to resonate in the mind of a child but as an adult I can definitely understand the nuances of the struggle felt by the characters and God's faithfulness to His people.I think this book is really well written, it is an investment and I think you have to be prepared to be patient and let the scenarios and the excitement build up but it is sooooo worth it.

I have only read 'This present darkness' so far and not yet started the other two. This Present Darkness was an absolute gripping book! I did not want to put it down. Definitely makes you think about the spiritual battle that is going on around everyday activities and inspires you to pray more for sure!Highly recommended!

Impossible to lay down! Really nail-gripping and insightful as to the power of prayer and it's effects. I've read This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness a number of years ago but re-reading was just as compelling

Absolutely loved the first book and enjoyed the second. Thought you couldn't get them anymore, so was overjoyed to find the 3 pack. Bought an extra set as a gift for a friend.

Great condition, delivered on expected time. And it's a book I read several years ago and loved it. Wanted to read again and am not disappointed!

Bought this for my 20 year old son. I already have Piercing the darkness and This present darkness but loaned it out and haven't got it back. Great book. Makes me more boldly prayerful and to know the power that l have in Christ Jesus. Indeed we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities. The power of a praying Christian. You learn not to meddle with sin in any form and to be watchful. God fights for His own.The only disappointing part is that the pages are falling out.

I first read Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness last fall and immediately fell in love with the novel and it's practical application of biblical truths as we know them in everyday life. People forget that there is a spirit realm out there, and choosing to ignore it or not believe in it doesn't make it go away. The physical world affects the spiritual and vice-versa.Peretti's This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness are two of the best Christian fantasy novels I have ever read, but I hesitate to use the word "fantasy" as opposed to "reality". The truth is that angels and demons are at war around us constantly, and we, those of us who believe in Jesus as Lord and the Son of God, have the power to change it.Both novels in the "Darkness" series are not only well written but extremely engaging. Once the mystery starts, you don't want to put the book down until you find out how it ends. This was my experience with both novels. I have not read Prophet yet, though I plan to read it sometime between this Fall and next Spring (hopefully during my Winter break at the end of this semester), I have heard many good things.The Three-Pack comes as advertised. Three small softcover books packaged together in the "Frank E. Peretti Three-Pack". I received all the books in good condition, new even, with no tears or indents.Repent and believe in the Gospel, for it is the power to save to all those who believe.

Erst einmal ein SUPER_DANKESCHÖN für die schnelle & unkomplizierte Lieferung, die Bücher kam sogar noch einen Tag vor dem veranschlagten Termin an!Zwei der Bücher (This Present Darkness & Piercing the Darkness) habe ich vor Jahren schon mehrfach gelesen & kann nur sagen: Genial & durchaus eine Hilfe für jeden, der sich mit Geistlicher Kampfführung beschäftigt, man beommt einen anderen Blick für as was in der von uns ungesehenen Welt stattfinden könnte.Auf das driite Buch (Prophet) bin ich nun gespannt, das habe ich noch nicht gelesen. Soweit habe ich aber jedes Peretti Buch "verschlungen" und denke, daß es beim Prophet sicher ähnlich sein wird =)Auf jeden Fall habe ich nun genügend gute Lektüre über die Weihnachtstage =)

This series was nothing short of amazing. I loved every book. Powerful reminder to keep praying.
