It does exactly what is promised. I used it for my 2005 ford explorer

Lasted 8 months.
Am a mechanic by trade, belt tension is good, ground wires good, power good, the rest of the electrical circuit tied into the charging system tested good as well. Ended up having the brushes bind and cause issues w the charging system, intermittently leaving the client stranded. I’m aware the price is inexpensive. But 8 months isn’t a long product life, all things considered. A one year warranty would have been nice

2005 Lincoln is a special alternator
This may be a good alternator, but not for my 2005 Lincoln Aviator. Car produced error P1246 after re-starting when engine was at operating temperature. Replaced this unit with a genuine motorcraft alternator, and it works. The sense wire from the alternator to the computer was 7.9v, and the mototcraft is 9.5v.
