5 Stars – The Right Fit, Works Perfectly
I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m making an exception to help others in the same situation. Finding the correct Samsung defrost sensor was more complicated than expected, and I ended up purchasing three different options. This one was the best fit for my Samsung RFG297AARS refrigerator. The price was mid-range compared to the others I tried, and installation was straightforward. After replacing the sensor, my fridge is running perfectly with no more defrost error codes. If you’re dealing with the same issue, this sensor is a solid choice.

Great value for the amount spent, however....
The part was an exact duplicate of the original Samsung part. As far as 'easy to install', is anything easy to install on a refrigerator being that you must remove all food, trays, drawers and everything to replace parts in the evaporator section (on my refrigerator anyway)? As far as functionality and longevity, only time will tell but I am very pleased with the quick delivery and visual quality of the part. So far, so good!

Sensor for Defrost. Samsung RF263BEAESR
I bought this because my fridge was freezing; it got into the teens and the eggs froze, the water froze, etc. I purchased this sensor but it is the wrong one for temperature control. This sensor is for defrosting the cooling unit. The only difference between the two sensors is the connector. This sensor that I purchased has the wrong connector for the temperature sensor. So like any good DIY-er, I cut off the connector, removed the non-working sensor, cut off it's connector, then took the connector from the non-working sensor and soldered it to the new sensor. Wallah! My eggs don't freeze.Samsung RF263BEAESRThe cooling sensor is in the panel that you remove from the back of the fridge. The defrost sensor is next to the cooling unit. Also note that the wire length is much longer on the cooling sensor. The defrost sensor wire length is much shorter. It needs to stay away from the fan.

Hope it Solves the Problem!
Just installed on our Samsung RB217ABPN. Other than the fact the original part has a black sheath (the new part has a clear sheath), the length of the cable and the male connector are identical to the orignal part. This clear sheath on this part reads "Daemyong," so it appears to be made in Korea. Also replaced the DA61-06796A Refrigerator Drain Tube Clip Evaporator, so hopefully this keeps my wife from yelling at me about ice buildup in the veggie drawers. I do know I'll NEVER buy another Samsung fridge!

Perfect Fit for Samsung RF266AEWP/XAA Refrigerator
Wire length matched the original thermistor so was a perfect fit as a replacement, and seems to have fixed the refrigerator defrost problem for my RF266AEWP/XAA refrigerator.

Exact replacement for OEM part
My Samsung fridge (RFG297HDRS) seemed to not be cooking properly in the fridge (freezer was fine). I removed and tested the original (measured resistance in air and in ice water) and determined it needed to be replaced. This part worked great.
