Well it only operates in manual so if you forget ...
Well it only operates in manual so if you forget to turn it on its not much use.I bought a Rule low profile that does the same thing but it has a timer that checks for water in the bilge ever two minutes. Install it and forget it

Picture is not what you get!
The picture shows a pump with a non return valve. I received a pump without the non return valve which is a cheaper priced model. To go and buy the valve costs an additional $40. Another bait and switch vender.

insufficient suction power
installed this pump, turned it on and it ran pretty good, after 2 minutes, i noticed that the bilge water had not gone down any, and nothing was coming out the bilge exit port, removed it and put my old one back, { a non low profile } and it cleared the water from the bilge in no time, tested the whale in a bucket of water and connected the cables to a 12v battery, and it barely pumped water any more than 6 inches from water surface, Whale is a first class company, and their products are normally brill..but this seems to be the pump that escaped quality control
