JustIngredients Essentials Hibiscus Flowers Whole 500 g (Pack of 2)

I love flor de Jamaica or hibiscus tea. I drink it "neat"/as-is without the usual dose of sugar recommended in recipes. It is a pretty tart/astringent taste, like unsweetened cranberry. Personally, I like the taste but probably not for everyone unsweetened, Reputedly helps lower BP, although I have not noticed any change despite consuming around a litre a day as an iced-tea drink. But it is a good source of vitamin CI find it very refreshing and tasty and a 1kg bag (like I bought) will probably make 100 litres (I have been brewing at a ratio of 10g flowers per 1 litre water). I like the whole flowers rather than the ground ones - I think they make a nicer, more flavourful infusionIt does need to be filtered through a paper coffee filter or similar though as they can be a little gritty sometimes, but I have found this with every whole dried hibiscus I have every purchased.

So delighted with the quantity and quality of this product. I have been suffering with HBP and wanted to give this alternative remedy a try. I make the tea in a glass infuser and either drink it hot or keep it in a glass drinking bottle to sip throughout the day. It is delicious hot or cold. It has a vague blackberry flavour which does not need anything added to make it palatable The effects on my BP are yet to be seen as I have only been using it for a few days but the product itself is well worth the money. For years now, Sorrel/Cacade/Zobo has replaced my fizzy and energy drinks intakeAll it needs is water & blackcurrant or lemon cordial (grenadine syrup is a good alternative to either)Couldn’t be more satisfying!

It is the flower made in heaven for high blood pressure , however . I prefer the Egyptian grown not the Nigerian.

This is a great find , a massive bag of juicy loveliness , have been drinking this for a few weeks now , I get a couple of really good concentrated infusions from these beautiful flowers , this works as a detox and a diuretic and I have lost weight , I feel more energetic also , read up on this fantastic flower it’s amazing , I’m making this tea my every day drink 4 or 5 times a day and it tastes good !
