It was prone to clog and after about 3 years of 24/7 use, it got pretty loud. I was hesitant to buy this because another reviewer had to "rig" this new pump style to work with his older version fountain.I rolled the dice and bought this anyway. Luckily the way its sold now it comes with a couple different adapters depending on the model of fountain you might have had.
