Cooper Cooler Tailgater Rapid Beverage Chiller

Unlike some reviewers, I found that this product fulfilled my expectations completely. The noise while the Cooper Cooler was operating did not seem any louder than the noise a microwave makes while running. While water and ice must be added to the cooler, the amount of ice recommended will actually cool several drinks. Far less ice is required than the manual recommends if you only want to cool one, two, even three or four drinks. Additionally, the tailgating model's adapter comes with an extra-long cord so that you're not forced to sit in the front seat of a car while using it, risking spilling water and ice all over the place. I bought this product as a gift for my brother, but have had ample experience using his, and will probably buy one for myself.

I went looking for something to chill can sodas quickly since my family seems to have issues with refilling the fridge when it gets low. While this definitely isn't the cheapest option out there it works REALLY well. Using the Cooper Cooler is pretty easy - plug it in (both AC and DC cords are included), add 2 cups of ice cubes and 2 cups of water, put the container in, choose the type of container and if you want it "extra" cold and press "start". In about 2 minutes (for extra cold) you have an ice-cold 12oz soda! The instructions aren't the best written but there's not much to know. Do keep in mind that those 2 cups of ice will chill ONE 12oz can, so it will go through a lot of ice if you're using it constantly, but if you get tired of room temperature cans because you (or your kids) forgot to put some in the fridge this is a fantastic device!

It's a great product but has some flaws that when using it. When spinning it will fire water out the front, right above the control panel. This becomes an issue as it soaks the area outside and then water gets around the controls. I've already had two cases of the buttons stop responding. I've improvised and elevated the front with something to keep the water from flying forward. It does cool your drinks really well so its not deemed a major issue just an inconvenience with possible electrical issues later. I usually use 4 cups of ice cubes and 4 cups of water. I've tried varied amounts to be sure it wasn't the levels.

Is good, like not any effort to learn and saves so much time, I willingly forget to chill beverages to use this.

This thing is amazing. From room temp to ice cold in 2 minutes!

My Dad bought this chiller for me as a gift. The first one came and it was not working at all when plugged in the regular outlet, but worked fine when plugged in the car outlet. Since we wanted this for use at home, we called amazon.com and they told us to return this item and they shipped a new unit to us fast. Well, the second unit came and it has the same problem -- not working when plugged inside! Yes, we tried different outlets (the ones other appliances work when plugged in), but still the unit is not working. We'll just return it and buy something else.

Great product. I got what was described.

Works as advertised. Really good for cans. Uses a lot of ice though. If you buy lots of ice or have an ice maker it prevents accidentally freezing your soda can when you need to chill it fast. It probably isn't practical with a standard amount of ice in a refrigerator top freezer such as one or two ice trays. Does feel cheap so I bought the extended warranty. Let's see if it lasts. I am being careful with it. It would not stand up to rough treatment.
