Eyecon Trial Cameras The Mantis II Hunting Camera, Epic Camo

Item is a complete POS. Went to use it this weekend took it out of the box and installed the batteries. Screen lit up for about 5 seconds than said low battery and shut off. These were brand new batteries no way they died in 5 seconds. Just to be sure I put in a new set of brand new batteries and this time nothing. Unit is completely dead even before the first use. Total piece of junk. Signed on to Amazon so send it back and oh wait I cannot send this item back. Now I have to pay the manufacturer $20 and wait for months to have my brand new item "fixed". I with 0 stars was on option on this one.

This camera, along with the primos supercharged blackout, has become my favorite camera. I have owned most brands of trail camera and I can tell you that the mantis II takes great night pictures. Especially for a black flash camera. There is no over saturation to get flash range like on some other brands. The pictures are very clear and the flash range is awesome(see pictures). It's not the fastest camera out there but seems to be very consistent. Sensing is good with great range. The only thing I don't like is having to swivel the head down every time I change sd cards. I bought an eyecon blackwidow when they first came out and have had good luck with it. The blackwidow takes good clear night pics too but the flash range isn't near as good as the mantis II. The sensor is much improved from the original blackwidow also.

There are two generations of Mantis Cameras - the first gen cameras had issues, typically the serial number started with an 0513xxxx. Eyecon has totally remedied the first gen Mantis with the MantisII. I had 5 of the first gen Mantis cameras and only one of them still works, HOWEVER, Eyecon (big game) has, what i'd be safe to say, the BEST customer service i've ever gotten from a company. If you have a problem with their camera, they'll make it right....... cant say that for a lot of companies out thereso, of my 5 first gen mantis cameras, 4 have broken down....and 4 of them have been replaced by the mantisII cameras which work great and ive had no issues with so far.kudos eyecon
