great for batch cooking for the freezer
My selection of existing plastic boxes were a horrible mismatched collection of lids and containers that took an age to pair up as they were all of slightly different shapes, some with odd pieces broken off at the edges. Most of these are several years old. Time for a new start! I ordered these 200 boxes and lids and have just used some for the first time yesterday. I tend to make perhaps 20 portions of chilli or a pasta sauce at a time, plus slightly smaller pots of meat and veg mixes as a base for shepherds pie, pots of chicken curry, and casseroles of coq au vin, beef in beef.... If this method is approached with a bit of planning (and with the company of the radio or an audible reading), it can be quite soothing and enjoyable. Once the pot of food has cooled I fill each container with two good servings, and place in the freezer. Because the boxes are all the same size and shape, once frozen it is easy to stack up in the freezer baskets taking up the minimum of space. I also tend to cook more rice than required, freezing the excess. I use the containers for filling with chicken thigh fillets, and other cuts of meat (bought when selling at a good price at the supermarket), sufficient for a generous meal for two when cooking odd dishes from scratch. This reduces food waste by only having food which will be sufficient for that meal. I have carried out this method of cooking during all my married life (nearly 50 years now), and it is a great way to enjoy some varied meals with the minimum of hassle. Decide what to have for dinner at breakfast time, rummage in the freezer, and leave to defrost during the day. These boxes look to be fairly robust so after use they can be washed in the dishwasher and stored ready for reuse. Needless to say, they are also used for multiple storage options throughout the home and office. Once the lid is fitted and labelled they keep the contents safe and clean. I use them for storing my many necklaces, and cosmetics etc. It says on the cardboard carton that the boxes are recyclable (perhaps need to check this out locally), but each box will have been used numerous times before eventually being discarded.

Lids don’t fit the containers
Very disappointed. I’ve bought this Satco product before but it has changed from the sturdy product it was to a different clear flimsier plastic but most annoyingly the lids don’t fit properly and you cannot seal the container shut making them not fit for purpose. I’m now stuck with 200 of them

Flimsy
Does the job, initially, but they are so flimsy it's unlikely you can use them more than once. Every time I remove a lid the container or the lid simply fracture and I've been using them for in excess of 18 months so know what I'm talking about. Bad batch maybe ?
