Keeps Getting Better
This may just be my favorite volume of Ten Ten so far. Everything about it is leaps and bounds better than the previous ones. The art, story, and characters are much more detailed than ever.Say what you will about Oh! Great's storytelling, but if there's one thing everyone can agree on is the fact that the man can draw. It's almost a shame that some of these images are forced to be on two pages and not included as a fold-out poster because they are that gorgeous. I counted a total number of 12 times my eyes went from ._. to 0_0 because of some piece of the art; pieces that I repeatedly went back to and just stared at because it made me wonder why other manga don't look this pretty. No question about it, Oh! Great is a fantastic artist and Ten Ten has some of the prettiest art by far.Fan service and nudity is kept at a surprisingly low minimum. I thought I was in for tons when a boob appeared literally two pages in, but I was wrong. There was no crude sexual humor either which was a bit of a surprise to me to be honest. I would say that in terms of fan service and nudity, this volume is the most tame on.The action in this volume trades pure violence for pure style. Some of these fights are still violent, (one ending with a character's arm literally exploding in beautifully gory detail) but the majority of it is hand to hand (or hand to sword) combat which leaves out the weapons that would usually slice and dice. Like the art, the action here is bold and in your face. What makes it better is that more people get a chance to fight here. We get the Chinese style of combat from Masataka, Capoeira from Bob, and plenty of swords and other sharp weapons from the likes of Aya, Mataza, Isuzu, and a few new characters, one of whom who swings around the most ridiculously large sword-chain-sickle-type thing I've ever seen. Even Bunshichi, who, in the few pages he lifts his fist, shows why he is the most badass character in Ten Ten.Story-wise everyone gets their day in the sun. For those who might not have liked the Souichiro-centr icvolume that was volume 5, fear not. He is everywhere in the first few chapters and then he is gone for the rest of the book. This gives everyone else a time to shine, specifically Masataka. Everyone else gets a bit of time here; Bob, Aya, Maya, Sugano, Makiko, hell even Bunshichi and Isuzu return to have their moments. We are introduced to more characters and even one thought to be dead comes back. We even get to spend time with the eventual main villain here. This volume really showcases the Juken Club being an actual team. You can just feel the motherly tendencies from Maya and how eager everyone is to help each other. Bob for instance feels he is just not strong enough to help the ones he cares about, yet Masataka offers to help guide him. The entire club rallies together to help Souichiro. I enjoyed these moments and others like it.Developing in the grand scheme of things is the revelation that F is just not all that it seems to be. Instead of following Mitsuomi, they seem to have their own goals instead which involve a computer chip. With a leader wearing a nice suit, but practices archaic magic and another guy who can punch incredibly fast and hard, but ends up healing the target, F truly just isn't what it seems. Mitsuomi also seems to know this and is getting ready for the inevitable smackdown. You can just feel the tension building by the time you reach the end of the book.If there is anything negative I'd have to say, they'd be minor grievances. For one thing, the covers of Ten Ten (and Oh! Great manga in general) seem to have nothing to do with the actual content. I understand that one of the characters is on the cover, yes, but how does a picture of Masataka kneeling on a street supposed to hint to me that this manga is all about violence and fanservice?Oh! Great is starting to develop soliloquies philosophical mumbo jumbo for all of his characters and while it's just starting here, some of it already doesn't make sense. The translation is fine, it's just that it doesn't make much sense and required re-reading to try to grasp at what he's trying to convey.Once again, something Oh! Great just seems to love to do is end his books in a really random spot. They seem to always end in the middle of a conversation; conversations that lack the 'umph' to make the reader go 'Whoa!! I need to get the next volume now!!'. Instead, they leave the reader saying 'Wait what? That's it? THAT'S where you're gonna end it. Really?' It's no different here.Ten Ten just keeps getting better and better. To be honest, there really isn't much of a reason to not read this. If you like violence, fanservice, or even something pretty to just look at, Ten Ten is right for you.

Great Volume
As the story goes deeper and gets darker, everyone is on a path to their destinies. The battles intensify and the group grows stronger. Love the direction this anime has turned into. Would never have thought it would get this dark and full of Twists.
